New C60's
Re: New C60's
A chrono diver is buying one watch when you should have bought two!
CWL 2015 FLE, C8 Pilot, C80 Sector; C65 SC; Rolex (5); Omega (4); Tudor (2); Zenith; Breguet; Breitling; Seiko; Vostok (22); Strela; Poljot; Raketa; Sturmanskie; Sea-Gull (2); Universal; Oris; Roamer; Avia; Tissot
Re: New C60's
overall a good looking watch, i like the small seconds and blue of the dial , i agree with one of the other members on the polished centre links being ott, but why are they still insisting on using that scabby yellow paint on the sub dials and centre seconds hand ? bargain basement colour or what ! imho its wasted a superb looking watch what a shame.

I really like the chronograph. ( can not afford to buy....yet) to make it PERFECT a display back and day date would have been awesome.

The 30 sec subdial is for diving so that at a glance you know your watch hasn't stopped. Just is easier to see than a small hand going around a small subdial.golfjunky wrote:I like the look of the sub dial thingy just not sure what purpose it has.asqwerth wrote:Yup, I'm having the same thought as I had about the rotating rose (the "wheel" that takes the place of a seconds hand) on the Tudor Rose - there's no starting point so how do you use it to count/time stuff?sproughton wrote:How are you meant to read the 30 second subdial? Or are you not?
There is no lume on the chrono subdial hands and big trident hand, as far as I can see, so is the wearer able to use it in the dark?
Otherwise, it is a handsome watch.
Never understood stealth watches myself. Seems to be a very wanna-be-military "guy" thing.
Imo I think it's a winner and possibly the cheapest 7750 at that quality.
The stealth Ti models need a few more options in the looks department, I like the look of the variation 1 with the hands and markers the same colour as the titanium case and bracelet but if you want to go stealth then it seems a little half done surely a DLC case option with the variation 1 dial and bezel would be a full stealth model. The same goes for the variation 2 it's nice in a Damasko way but not stealth and what if you want a titanium diver that isn't semi stealthy. A blue dial/bezel maybe?
One interesting development is Adrian Bachmann and his brief to develop ' a recognisable Christopher ward signature that's present in everything they do ' this means we should eventually see more chamfered edges, complex dials and new case backs making their way through the trident lineup. Pity they didn't do it with the Titanium models as £1000 for the Ti or £1455 for the chronograph with a higher finish. Umm I'll leave that with you.....

That will be commercial in confidence to CWL and I doubt if Kip will be allowed to tell.golfjunky wrote:Kip, can you give us any sort of indication of how many orders have been placed for the new chrono's or Ti's ? On a not numbers but generally how well they are selling

Re: New C60's
Maybe your right. I think we can gauge it buy how quickly they are included in the next sale.
What happened to the chrono's being a limited run?

I never read anywhere about the chrono being a limited run only that they were numbered.

Re: New C60's
Now that a little time has past, I have revisited the new C60s.
I still like the Chrono design and the small seconds is a good feature for diving but less pragmatic for the majority. You could say that if you wanted a pragmatic time keeper then just look at your phone! I like the colour scheme and I am sure the build quality will be good. However, there are items that I still don't like, the height, the wave pattern and the new trident shape as the counter weight on the Chronos second hand! So for me I will watch from afar.
What is surprising to me is how much the C60 Ti V1 has grown on me. I like the matt bezel and plain dial. I also like the colour of the hands, applied indices and the use of red as well.
I can understand why some people wish the variations could be mixed and matched but it now doesn't bother me as I wouldn't buy another black cased watch. I have tried 2 and got rid of 2!
However, I do need to know what sort of crystal is being fitted to these as if it is the usual refractive one then for me the watch will join the list of CWs that were close but no cigar!

Watches - Too many but not enough!
Re: New C60's
My main concern regarding new Tridents Ti is whether they truly are 400€ nicer than Steinhart Ocean One.

After seeing the uplift in CW Trident quality at QP, I am confident that they will be much better

Any idea when we may get to see live pics of the new range.
The Trident titanium grey/black is calling me. Initially I wasn't bowled over, But looking at it again it is becoming more appealing.
