It's been said before, I know, but I'm still struggling with the wonky date wheel - it would look much better if it were at 3 o'clock.
Still very nice for the money though.
I don't mind the offset placement of the date wheel. ANYTHING to set the watch apart from being a 1 to 1 homage piece. It gives it some of its own identity. What does kinda get me, however, is how it doesn't exactly appear dead center of the 4 o'clock mark. There's gotta be some reason for that.

I think that the C60 is sufficiently different not to be a homage, even if it does move the date wheel to 3 o'clock. I agree about the strange positioning though. Not sure why it's like that.
I'm really undecided about this. The date wheel isn't a deal breaker and if there were a GMT version with the coloured bezel I would be seriously tempted.
Add some Tritium and I'd put an order in now. If I keep boring CW with this request they may acquiesce just to shut me up.
I think the placement of the date window relates to the angle of the numbers of the datewheel. If the window was at 4 or 5, the numbers would not align with the window surround.
Of course, there are some manufacturers who place the date at 4 or 5, but I believe they must use a specific, rather than generic, datewheel.

Right. I'm guessing the position of the datewheel is a design necessity rather than a preference. We are, after all, paying for a lot of watch for not a lot of money so we've gotta expect a litte give and take I suppose!
I like the position of the date wheel - by replacing one of the hour circles it seems to make the dial look a lot cleaner (it's also why I prefer the new logo).

I still think the date window placement is not so bad because the top edge of the window is sort of in line (I know it's not exact) with the 4 o'clock hour marker.

That's exactly my view too. The date placement has never looked odd to me. Maybe I'm just odd myself?

If you click on the photo of the C60 Blue sitting in its box with the manual next to it.....you will notice that it has a Blue bezel...but a black dial !! Looks good !
Well spotted...
Prefer it to the all blue version to be honest.
I see it's been changed to the Blue bezel and Blue dial now......
The Trident and Planet Ocean really do have different but appealing dials. I think if you like Orange, you shouldn't bother how others feel. No way am I spending that much for a PO right now! Perhaps when I am in my 30s and stable!
I want to see some real pictures of the Blue Cooter! These are frankly not doing anything for me. The video is much better but very up-close. I have no desire for it yet. I won't buy it knowing it isn't in the same league as the FLE Scooter. Different shade it should be but quality should be the same. Since Scooter was classy blue, Cooter should be sporty blue.

I think what it is is the placement of the date is in-fact odd, but oddly works for itself in an odd way. Probably not as odd in person, because pictures are odd things.
I was just googling away, looking at C60 reviews, and found this one from 2010. It shows an early photoshopped job of a C60 and my eyes went straight to the date window at the 4 o'clock position (which for the record, I too like in concept). However, since we've been discussing how it is interesting to note that the window itself does not sit squarely at 4 I found it intriguing that on this mock up the date window IS, in fact, sitting dead on at 4 o'clock. The top of the window lines up with minute 19(.5) and the bottom lines up with 21(.5). I mentioned earlier that I feel pretty certain that something must physically dictate that the window can not sit where it stands to reason it "should" be. Apparently it was shown to be there on early renderings of the watch like the ones I see in the article i linked below. Someone else mentioned something about a generic date wheel size...am I remembering that correctly? Perhaps the stock one for the ETA 2824-2 and ETA 2893-2 won't fit sideways quite like they had hoped within the C60 case?
Anyway, its not a good or a bad thing but it is intriguing to me. Check it out: http://watchshock.com/blog/449/christop ... ident-gmt/
