Having decided I now want a blue/red/green on rubber as a casual weekend watch, but having hesitated (due to not being able to decide which colour! ) and thus missing the sale, I am now torn between waiting for a used 'old model' green/red to come up and a new quartz blue...
I don't need an automatic in this instance, so agree completely
Scrogg: Yes I've come across the same snobbery but pay no attention to such posers. My CWs attract both the inquisitive and more knowledgeable - they include owners of Pateks, Rolexes, JLC. I tend to push my watches - even my Rolexes - up my sleeve when the flash harrys are around, which is thankfully not that often these days.
At this price point, I might pick up a C60 quartz in blue for weekend wear. A quartz will do fine when running around on a Saturday with the wife running errands.

This is precisely me Guy. I was unaware some forum member dislike of the Ronda 515 (or maybe it is just a dislike for all quartz movements). Please help this newb understand more clearly if this is just a preference issue or if this is something bigger. If a real issue should i consider saving up for the mechanical movement for my first CW purchase?

seen the price of patek philippe quartz watches recently I do kind of understand that for a watch enthusiast - an automatic is more alive - but for many people it is simply about telling the time and making sure it is accurate and no hassle - quart = good for them, and why should they not still be able to enjoy a fine case / face / hands / etc.?
I think it is also important for CWL to keep an entry route into their watches as the price elsewhere goes up - so seems to be a good idea...

The orange was kept in the C60 300 because the case/bezel configuration already exists. The correct orange color, for the C60 600 series was not available in ceramic for a reasonable cost.
