lloyd_m wrote:I have decided that I want a true GMT, which narrows it down to basically Rolex or Omega. I like the Explorer II but can't stand the cyclops date window, which I have decided is a deal breaker for me (I've just sold my Steinhart Ocean 1 for this reason - nothing wrong with it other than that) so I think that I will go for the Omega Seamaster 300 GMT. This gets me a blue dial and bezel and I was after a blue watch.

So, for my orange fix I have decided on the C60 Trident Orange bezel rather than the GMT. Just can't decide between the orange:

..or the black:

Which is why I may go for the orange leather strap and get a black rubber as well.
Get the black leather with orange stitching.

Mine arrived today and first impressions are that it really does look fantastic in the flesh. The Boss doesn't like it though, she says that it looks like I got it out of a Smartie packet, but what does she know? What I have noticed is that you need to be careful with what you wear it with; the dark burgundy jumper I was wearing clashed horribly so a quick change to black did the job.
The attention to detail sets it off nicely, particularly the long second hand with the orange tip against the wavy patterned dial.
If I get time tomorrow I'll get some photos up along with the black rubber strap that I also ordered.

Has anyone been able to compare the orange of the new C60 bezel to the orange of the GMT bezel? Are they the same hue or is the new one different?

Did not possess both at same time but looked the same from memory.
