I would have liked a midnight blue, the colour of the blue cordovan strap. I think the blue CW have used is too light.

From the website, the case is a new shape:

The 40.5mm Light-catcher™ case has been redesigned so it’s even more elegant and comfortable than on the first Moonglow.

I think that's how the Moonglow should always have looked. I like moonphase watches. It was the original C9 Moonphase I purchased that got me into the CW brand, and I still love it dearly. It is one of the most elegant of CW's dress watches I feel. I also have a white face Malvern C1 Moonphase, which is nice but somehow lacks the style of the C9. I did also buy the original Moonglow but was very disappointed. The Two moons frankly just looked silly and I never had a good answer when people asked "So why are there two moons?". CW's photography would lead you to believe that the shaded portion of the dial was darker than it is. In reality under most lighting conditions the two moons more or less look the same. I found that irritating and returned it. This special edition makes much much more sense. Do I need a third moonphase now? If it had a black face I would probably have said yes by now. Just not sure about the shade of blue (I'll ignore the weird colour of the strap on offer). I wonder if there'll be a black version...?

There are two moons so that as the first moon wanes, the new moon is born again. I thought it was a nice touch being able to see the second moon, but I expected it be seen only vaguely through a translucent screen, which you say wasn't the case.

Ooh. I really like it (bar the strap but at 20mm possibly worth buying a blue leather CW). Like the date wheel too. But I don’t need another watch. No I don’t. Even if it might pair nicely with my C1 Worldglow.

Oooh, I like this. The shade of blue, the strap choice, the older case, yup, this is really nice! I just don’t see it for me; I would wear it, just not often enough.

Hmmmm. I still read it as meaning that they've tweaked the Mki case a little bit - even if the final dimensions remain the same. I can't see that they would use the word 'redesigned' if they were just going back to the original Mki case? :-k

I pressed the button earlier.
I bought a V2 Moonphase last October, but moved it on quite quickly. I loved the depth of the dial, but I struggled witb the two moons.
I think this looks far better and I love the blue dial over the black. Fingers crossed I like it as much as I do currently.
I noted the lack of an integrated braclet option, but I think my CW Milanese bracelet will look great on this, so that didn't concern me.

I think they've copied over some of the blurb for the Moonglow Mk2 for this watch, some of which doesn't apply to it. Hence, the references to redesigned, box crystal, etc.

Hmmmm.... so - did they get the measurements right (and it's a Mki case)? Or the redesigned box crystal bit right and it's a Mkii??

The case height is shown as 12.95mm for the LE, which compares with 12.35mm for the 2019 case, according to CWarchives.

Is it just me or do none of the measurements match what's shown under the Mk1 on the Archive?

The discussion on which case they've used is all somewhat academic now as it is Sold Out.

However; knowing that the C1 Moonphase and C1 Moonglow Mk2 share the same case, bar a minor tweak around the bezel to accommodate the Moonglow's Box Crystal, it is worth comparing this case with that used on the C1 Moonglow LE and noting that the polished bevelled edge between case top and case side (on the Moonphase & Moonglow Mk2) is absent on the Moonglow LE. Additionally, the crown on the Moonglow LE is noticeably rounded as opposed to the angular crown on the Moonphase & Moonglow Mk2.
