New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
Several CW aficionados have been narrowing design specifications for a new limited edition. The base watch is the C63 Sealander, 39mm case. The design is set, so entertaining any other options or considerations isn’t where this project is. While I’ve provided a little input, it is not my LE project. I’m sharing here as I’ve shared others in the past to help make CW fans aware of it should they want to get in on the order. Details for the watch and the ordering process will be added in comments below. The window is open now.

Isn't that the Explorer that has frequently been requested?
.
Kudos to the CWA for being able to persuade CW to produce it.
Should be a sell out three times over.

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
A great design with the 3,6,9 no date layout long hoped for by CW owners (I think), with lumed applied numbers and IMO the best CW watch and size to use for this project.
The dial colour is appropriate for the project name but despite all the above sadly it won't be for me as boringly I'd prefer a basic dial colour.
I hope this is a success for those involved in putting this together.

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
Well done all involved. Nice looking dial and I'm somewhat surprised (and delighted) that CW have created bespoke numerals, nevermind for such a small run.
Their manufacturing capabilities must have moved along quite a bit to allow for this, or maybe we are to see these used on a forthcoming 'general' release.
I'm am somewhat interested in the decision-making re. choice of dial colour. There is no question that it is a beautiful shade of blue, but it looks extremely similar to the blues already used in the Sealander range.
Usually, we see a manufacturer prompting fury by producing a standard release that very closely resembles a previously released, popular LE, but in this case, we have the LE taking on the look of a general product beforehand.
This isn't criticism, more curiosity.
Had this LE sported an opaline white/silver dial, black markers (inc. 3,6,9), I reckon the "internet would have exploded"

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
Also, CWs colour representations on their website leave a lot to be desired. They should absolutely consider customer photo submissions and add them alongside their stock photos.
The mock-ups above look exactly like real-world photos of the Dragonfly blue, whereas in reality, the Morpho blue is very similar to Sinn's gorgeous shade of blue used on the 556i B.
As a suggestion to CW, why not use the most convenient source for CW reference photos ... right here! Zero need for any website amendments/upload tools, just "pinch" photos from the reference gallery and it could be achieved with a few hours work and minimal resources.
Or if user-permissions are an issue, maybe CWF could start a seperate reference library whereby T&Cs state that submissions are automatically considered for use on CWs main product pages.

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
Sinn's 556i B is a darker shade of blue, as you suggest, so what is more realistic because I was going to pass on this since the Morpho blue in the renderings above looks much too light (for me) and similar to the Dragonfly blue.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 12:31 pm The mock-ups above look exactly like real-world photos of the Dragonfly blue, whereas in reality, the Morpho blue is very similar to Sinn's gorgeous shade of blue used on the 556i B.

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
Interesting that CW have allowed a 3, 6, 9 dial.
Checks notes…
It would seem that is not something they would have allowed in the recent past for such a project. Also IIRC something such as a 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 was also off limits.

Re: New bespoke project alert: C63 Atlantis
I'm liking the Atlantis because the blue is lighter than the others in the existing CW palette, much jollier imho.
