I have my name down for one of these.
Very surprised it hasn't garnered the necessary interest to date.
The 3,6,9 (Explorer) config, sunray dial, and solid caseback, sold it for me.

Hopefully, more will get behind this very worthy bespoke and we will see it come to fruition🙏

CW watch count - enough to keep me very happy, but always room for more!

My gut feel is that the dial color might be the sticking point. Not so much uncertainty over the shade of blue, but the fact that it's blue altogether. Might something a bit more neutral and "safe" garner a bit more interest? The dial design is certainly very classic so maybe the color warrants that as well.

It would be a shame to see this one stall as I do think it's a nice design.

I've looked and looked and can't fall for the dial colour. Sure I've got blue watches and looking at them mostly in a deeper royal blue. I recently tried a pool blue C60 and I've not before returned a watch so quickly under 60/60. Not the same blue as the Atlantis but a bit of a heads-up for me particularly while I'm at a bit of a crossroads [again I hear you gasp!  ]with my watch collection. I could visualise a collection where C63 models are the dominant trend and that's not me.

I have been surprised that the "host" facebook group appears not to have generated a strong order list: maybe that says something about the size of the critical mass at the heart of enthusiast communities?
C60 MKI, MKII, MKIII: "some",
C6 & C60 Kingfishers,
C600 Tritechs,
C63 "some",
C65 "some",
C4, C40, C8, C9, C3, C5, C20 & 23FLE
Some other brands

I think the maths on social media can be a bit deceptive. Here on the forum we have over 16,700 members. The members list runs to 336 pages at 50 entries per page. Those who have actually posted begin on page 186. Over 9000 of our members have never posted on the forum.

Of the 7000+ who have posted, many have just made one post, sometimes many years ago. Many haven’t been active for years. There are surprisingly few current posters who contribute regularly. Of those, many are no longer actively looking to expand collections or even buy watches at all. I’m certainly in that position, but I enjoy the forum and helping to run it, and I’m interested in many aspects of horology even if I’m not looking to buy.

I’m a member of CWE. I unfollowed it a long time ago because my feed on Facebook was just being swamped on a daily basis by wrist shots from people I didn’t even know. I have to confess I rarely look at it or post on it.

According to my profile I have 196 friends on Facebook. That’s not a particularly high number, and I do actually know all of them. However, many are inactive, especially the younger ones who have migrated to other platforms. I normally get about 50 greetings on my birthday, and the same 25 to 30 people appear regularly in my feed and respond or reply to my more popular posts such as holiday photos.

The Atlantis seems to have stalled. The chief instigators are open to rethinking design wants and wishes. Unfortunately that brings the question of design parameters and how to winnow the preferences. Some of you know that headspace.

I’ll update as I can.
I am currently mulling over the idea of signing up. I would say, that a 'boring' black, or darker blue, might make for a more popular choice. It would certainly make for a starker contrast between dial and indices/numerals. That said, it would no longer be the Atlantis.

Colours that may have a wider appeal, in my opinion, would be (all with sun ray finish)...
Midnight blue
Aquitaine blue
Anthracite
Black

Perhaps a vote for colour options on some renders would help?

The organizers of this LE are revising design aspects and are engaging in CW. Certain changes, dropping the CWA and Aficionados elements and the Atlantis name, have been decided. Dial color will likely be a sunray black, subject to further discussion.

I’ll continue with updates. Stay tuned!

I did think that the wording on the back might have had an influence.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new design changes, thank you for keeping us updated.
