New Bespoke LE proposal: C63 Adventure

Post by thomcat00 »

The Atlantis (Morpho blue) variant failed to gain traction from enough interested parties. The feedback from the previous posts has been carefully considered. To keep this bespoke project moving forward and avoid any further delays, we’ve decided on mostly minor changes. The goal is to appeal to as many CW and adventure watch fans as possible. The changes have been submitted to our CW contact and are now with the bespoke design team. Hopefully, these adjustments will be well-received and help make this project a reality soon.

Please keep an open mind about the details. Ultimately, they are just details and often fade into the background. There may not be another opportunity for a watch like this.

Dial colour

Black is often the most popular colour so would like to change to a black sunray dial.

Name

ATLANTIS is not really appropriate without the blue dial so would like to change the name to 'ADVENTURE'.

Case back

Replace the text 'CW AFICIONADOS' with 'C63 ADVENTURE'. Keep '2025 LIMITED EDITION' as is.

Straps and bracelets

Black Aquaflex and/or Vintage Leather - Consort or Bader, as with any of 39mm C63 Sealanders.

Stay tuned, more details to come.

We are waiting for the final approved designs from CW. We will make all ordering information and instructions on how to reserve soon. Full details will be added here. Pricing will, I believe, remain the same as Atlantis.

@thomcat00 - just one minor question and I hope I don’t sound too pedantic but is it “Adventure” or “Adventurer”?
I post a few watch pictures now and then to a little Instagram account - 15 followers and counting!

Whilst CW generally has the date position engineered out to produce a true 'no date' movement, this watch as it is based on the C63 Sealander that has a date, has a ghost date position on the crown; as stated in the original / initial post.

I pointed it out to you that it was in the Atlantis Thread OP. I did not see it in this thread which is why I asked.

And I asked (can't remember if it was via email or PM) and the response was something along the lines of: CW Sealander Production is always with date so they will not change that for a bespoke model even though we are using a no date dial.

I liked the blue colour of the Atlantis more than this black. The problem is that CW issue plenty of watches as it is without bespoke editions. Maybe that's why the Atlantis didn't gather enough traction. We're just spoilt for choice. :D

Love the look of this! May well scratch my explorer itch.

What sort of time frame are you looking at? Do you have enough people yet?

Kind regards,

Ross

loved the design with the blue - doesn't interest me as much with the black, so won't be looking at it - shame as my mean concern previously was the afficionados bit on the back which is now removed! :)
