The new Bel Canto colors are considered an open series, they are not a "true" open series. You will note that they have not been on the CW website.

They are really a hybrid as CW will only be building to the quantity ordered via the link that was sent in the interested parties email. There will be a limited time to order, although I do not have a cutoff date yet. I will advise when I know.

The C9 Moonphase was much the same (unofficially limited and over-budget) and I managed to bag two of them NN (quickly sold on one) - I can but dream

Now, Alex.....
You're --------not ------helping :)
The Watch Complications discussion video didn't help either to be fair.

In any event, the window of opportunity needs to stay open at least until 6th January with some stuff to get sorted prior.
It will be moot if it doesn't. I have pics of both the 'Cielo' and 'Nero' sitting on my desktop teasing me.
Cool watches can be a vicious game.

^^^ :D :D :D I'd love a Bel Canto, but it's wayyyyy out of my price range for now, so I'm just trying to enjoy it vicariously! Best of luck, hope it works out for you

My sentiments also. If they ever release a red version, I'll end up throwing reason out the window to pull the trigger.

It will probably be the same with the Bell Canto. They will release some colours in unofficial numbers and that will be it. Probably worth buying one and see what happens, I can’t see much of a price drop on this one but potential price increase if they sell out and will never be produced again. CW will keep much more of their status if they keep this watch limited!

So I went to buy a watch, and the man in the shop said "Analogue." I said "No, just a watch."

Probably yes. The special mail invite is confusing and pointless if they decide to have a general sale, as we all know they will make this watch with another colours and milk it to death.

And while the end date for deposits is reasonably set at 2nd January, that means I'm out. Too much else going on at present.
Shame, but it's a watch and CW will make plenty more interesting ones, that's for sure.

I think the purpose is to allow those on the wait list to get ahead of the general public in ordering one. Plus it allows CW to gauge demand, and prepare their supply chain.

They have indeed decided to milk it :(

I still love the Bel Canto though - enough to order a second one

As I have started down the road of house renovations, how can I? As a watch enthusiast and CW fan-boy, how can I not?

To me, it's an expensive watch. Having been down the "house renovation" path myself I will say that somewhere along the journey, it really won't seem at all expensive. Not that that's much help though
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left
