I also noticed that for two of the new variations, the colour of the beak (the striking/silent indicator at 4 o'clock) has been changed from red, presumable to work better with the dial colour. I suppose a red dial would go with a different coloured beak, bright yellow maybe?
It would be nice to see them disclose the sales numbers of the 4 colors

I am hoping the Viola is the big seller

I liked the black beak better, and that contributed to me choosing Rosa

I also expected something in a deep flame red, this watch is likely to live on for many years of production in a broader palette of colors

^^^ Based on that image the black dial looks the pick of the four new colours, by placing the emphasis on the stuff attached to the black backdrop, rather than being drawn primarily to the colour of the other three.

For me the pale blue looks really good. Still not for me but I think that color looks great. For what it is worth I get the feeling these are going to look better in real life than in the pictures.

It is for this reason I think the black is the pick of the lot. It really highlights everything else that is there to see with no distractions.

I wish I had the confidence to wear the purple one, but it’s black all the way for me

I'm really torn with the colours. I have a blue one coming, but am tempted to get a second Bel Canto as I just love the design. Unlike some, I love the bird too :)

I don't like the light blue or gold, so that's the easy bit.

The black looks the most elegant and wearable. But the purple is easily the coolest one, and is such a rare watch colour. I have a lot of watches but none in purple.

So even being unlimited series production, I am leaning towards the purple.

I can see the merits of the black dial I really can, except for the red beak.

On the other hand the blue dial has a dark beak which isn't quite so standout. But a pastel shade dial, probably any pastel shade is going to need the right colour of cuff.

Let me look at the purple dial again... nah! It's got that little chip of lipstick red.....

I think cielo blue might be winning......

I'm coming around to it as a pic sits on my desktop.
I imagined the contrast as necessary, maybe because that's what we'd seen with the LEs. It does make the mechs pop. But black is well, black, and purple is not me.

And just maybe the softer colour with the 'extravagance' of the dial mechanics strikes a balance. Sleeping on it. A few times.
My gut feeling is always that it should provoke the Yes response straight away but the BC is different in more ways than one. :?

I like the Cielo, on the sky blue leather.

When the original was launched, I was excited but undecided. Like many I felt the Bel Canto offered a lot of watch for the money, and was therefore good, if not great value, but I dithered and the opportunity was gone in a flash. The feeding frenzy was over and I hadn’t even rolled up my sleeves.

When the green landed, my initial reaction was surprise, so soon after the original “LE” - inverted commas because I don’t subscribe to the viewpoint that a dial colour alone makes it “Limited”. But I now had a second chance to decide. Once again I held back, and within a day the opportunity had evaporated. A few aftermarket sales were recorded, a bubble was forming.

Then the 4 new colours emerged (one member of a FB Group asked if they were fakes….). Colours were well-chosen I thought, and the Cielo grabbed my attention. Should I / shouldn’t I? I could put down a deposit & then decide at my leisure. Plenty of time….

Ultimately, I have decided to pass. While undoubtedly a remarkable movement at the price, it is still a chunk of cash, and a buying decision needs to be more than pure value-based. I wouldn’t wear a dress watch more than a handful of times a year, and I can imagine turning off the “sonnerie au passage” to avoid unwanted reactions when I’m not at home. A fully polished case, a luxurious dress strap, and more appropriate packaging might have made a difference, but for now they provide convenient reasons to put away my credit card, & leave one more in stock for the people who are truly interested.

Overnight I've been thinking, am I maybe just a dive watch and chrono guy? Surely not?
Looking at the BC a different way, all this amazing innovation and engineering finesse for less than the price of any current line-up Omega? I shall spend the day seeing the BC in that light and with a pale blue dial. You see if I don't push the button

Or you could place a fully refundable deposit, and then decide at your leisure. Assuming the BC comes with 60/60 you’ll be able to see it for real before you have to make your final verdict.

I've been hoping for CW to return to purple for a while and now they have! Hopefully no-one likes it and I can grab one NN in a couple of years, the Bel Canto is still out of my price range otherwise

I suspect they will only manufacture to satisfy orders, so other than returns there's unlikely to be many appearing in sales.
