so what did the MF say, firstly a LE watch or LE colour?
On the CWE Zoom preview I watched he said there would be a second colour coming next Spring, which turned out to be the green they bought forward after the blue sold out so quickly and that they had big hopes for the Bel Canto in the future. Make of that what you will.

That’s exactly what puts me off. It looks too much like a bad image of a bird and I cannot not see it wherever pics are posted.

Not to mention the price, and for a CW, wow.
i don't understand the objection to the bird symbolism. throughout history birds have chimed out times. i like that the chime mechanism recalls that history. i don't think it looks cheap at all.

It’s not the bird symbolism, it’s the Tweety Pie bird image. I do think it looks “cheep” Pun intended!

I signed up for registering my interest but I didn’t get the email. Once I’m done pouting in the corner I’ll weigh in on the expanded Bel Canto line. ;)

I was just going by publicity interviews uploaded on the release date such as this one below at 14:55 where the MF did say LE colour.

Not sure what was said elsewhere and when. It might have been others like Watchfinder who ran with the limited stuff giving the impression it was very much a one chance only thing, not a one chance only shade of (azzurro) blue!

I get the connection and appreciate that there will be people who will love it rather than be put off by it. The waiting list shows that.

For me it was just the wrong side of obvious to use a bird and a little gimmicky. I am not saying it is MF Early Learning Centre but it isn't H Moser refined design either and a design can be class and refined regardless of the price point.

I'm also not a fan of the chiming function anyway despite appreciating the complexity of achievement to create it. Although quietly, I would not be the person who would want attention from my watch making a noise and then when some wonders where it came from and has a look, it clearly came from that massive bird on the dial . I would rather point to something a little more subtle.

Moser has certainly moved their design language recently. How's this for for refined design... Moser Genesis

Pushing the boundaries, inventive and no bird in sight. Exceptional work. Limited to 50 and I doubt they will release other colours...
The Apple style watch is great too!

I was lucky enough to get an Azzuro blue. There might be a review coming...
You might still be ordering a Black one as well.

I'm considering it, getting a second one that is; either Black (Nero) or Copper (Rosa).

Kudos to CW for keeping the price the same. They could easily have added £500.

Wow, with this level of spin CW should start paying you
I'll take that as a compliment, Greg. :D :D

Never heard of the brand prior to the release of the Bel Canto

Very cool stuff

Like most I missed out on Blue and then Green

I signed up for the wait list

Yesterday I randomly followed up wondering when the ordering system would open up, dumb luck on timing as I received a response that they were going live that day and then I received the you can order now email

I am going with the Rosa dial on a Brown strap

I also was expecting a dark red and/or a white variant(s). Perhaps those colours are future considerations.

Yep, burgundy and I'm pressing the Deposit button. Perhaps it will be a patience, wait and see game.

Strangely, the LE colours have the feel of open series and these open series colours (black excepted) have a LE feel to them.
And I think that reinforces CW's contention that they really never expected anything like this level of response to the BC.

The black looks just fine but not in the context of my collection. I'm warming to the Cielo but it just didn't jump at me like I wanted one of the colours to do. Lacks contrast but I understand they had to put some distance to the blue LE watch.

If I'm being cynical maybe they picked some colours that might soften demand because if everyone who expressed interest followed through, production capacity could never cope. There are outside suppliers involved that have their own limits. Talk of 10,000 potential buyers against an original idea of 25 watches per week? More than a big ask.

Surprised to see so many new colours & I was guessing the more general public release would be simpler 2 hander version of Meistersinger Bell Hora with a bit of dial cut down showing chiming mechanism.

Luckily I've ordered so don't have to debate which colour. That gold one looks lovely imo (I have something similar).

+1 expecting a wine red colour, but I settled with the purple - which matches the jewels :D

I also noticed that for two of the new variations, the colour of the beak (the striking/silent indicator at 4 o'clock) has been changed from red, presumable to work better with the dial colour. I suppose a red dial would go with a different coloured beak, bright yellow maybe?
