My two accidental additional orders were cancelled this morning, so that’s two back in stock.

I pondered a lot about my order today. Glad I kept it now I think. Deliver due 20th July apparently.

Good call earlier in the thread about he blue tide strap; £55 is a bit of a stretch I think though. I’ll see how it is with the grey tide strap when it arrives and might buy the other.

I predict that due to the overwhelming success of the Atoll, it won't be long until we see another dial color in the same case/bezel package for the same price. If they drip these out as special editions one dial color at a time they will sell like hot cakes.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see the colours recently noted by @asqwerth on P7 above on future LE watches.

I won't be buying one as I don't like SS bezels. Purely personal preference, there is nothing wrong with them, just not my style. With just a little bit of luck maybe, just maybe, we will see the 36mm Sealander released with this dial rather than the inevitable Tiffany blue dial. I think it would look great on the Sealander.
That would be superb, 36mm Sealander, Atoll coloured dial, 20mm lugs with bracelet down to 16mm. Will be one of the first in line for this

Purely speculative without seeing the sales, so my impression is based from reading forum posts. While the watch reviewers have been mostly positive, the reaction of the forum community to the Aquitaine release has been mixed. I have read more posts explaining why the Aquitaine is not for them than those that say they were buying one. Where are the member picture posts of newly purchased Aquitaines? I have seen a few but not many yet. Have forum members ordered Aquitaine’s & are awaiting their delivery? Maybe more Aquitaine’s are being bought by customers new to the Christopher Ward brand? I want the Aquitaine launch to be successful because small companies can ill afford to miss on a product line. This what I do know. The Atoll Limited Edition sold out very quickly. The only limited edition that comes to mind that sold out quicker was last year’s Divetimer. The resounding favorable response by forum members was most impressive. While I like the design concept of the Aquitaine with it’s sapphire bezel & 50 Fathoms influence, I haven’t hit the buy button on one yet. Maybe the Black Orca on a future sale. When I first saw the Atoll, I immediately knew this was a watch for me & did not delay making my purchase. The simple design & dial color seemed perfect. I liked the looks of the Atoll for many of the same reasons that I liked the Sealander. I am thinking price may be a factor in how the Aquitaine & Atoll have been received. While not overly expensive, the Cosc & GMT versions of the Aquitaine are not cheap when compared to some of the other Christopher Ward watches. By comparison, the Atoll LE is a lot of watch for the money! I would venture to say a better value than some of the watches that will be offered on the upcoming sale!

The Tide strap: maybe I haven't got used to mine yet, maybe I'm supposed to dunk it in seawater periodically. It's smooth enough on the skin but stiff. Maybe that's how it will always be: we take plastics out of the sea, melt 'em down, extrude them and melt them into a thick "seat belt" weave. Perhaps it's always going to be relatively stiff? Oh what the heck, let's wear it today and get it wet: stop being a wuss Pete!

Pete,
Take the tide strap off the watch and spend an hour while you are watching the telly rolling them back and forwards along the full length in both directions. Particularly concentrate really close to the lug end of each half. I promise it will make all the difference just stretching the fibres out.

Given the dial colour of the Atoll, I’m sure there are many that are looking at different blue straps for it, and the picture by OllyW showed what it can look like on the blue tide strap.

Does anyone have any pictures that they have mocked up of the watch on different shades of blue straps, whether that be nato, canvas, rubber etc

This is with the blue hybrid rubber. Not so sure about this one.

I think that looks good. I really like the CW hybrid straps. I just looked through my FKM tropic without finding a decent match. XTreme (and probably others) do a vibrant Velcro bright blue that might match. (see eBay - only £5 or £6 each). Black is OK. I thought the SS bracelet was great personally. That would have been my pick.

Here's the Xtreme colours. They work like natos, but you have to remove and refit the spring bar pins to secure them.

I'll wait until some real photos have been posted before making my mind up about the blue hybrid rubber. I've ordered mine on the bracelet though I'll probably also get the blue tide strap too.

It won't be me, my order confirmation email says the 20th July.
