Maybe a 38mm field watch will be the vehicle through which they introduce a smaller case to the Aquitaine line? I think smaller size when I think field watch, so 38mm sounds good to me.Roger32 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 05, 2022 12:34 pm Surely it won’t be a 38mm? The existing Aquitaine is what 41mm? Would require a whole new case design, would've thought they would keep it the same as the existing Aquitaine to keep costs down and then change the dial etc thereafter, I always find field watches a bit bland personally but look forward to seeing it!

Re: New Aquitaine Field Watch
Seeing the Loupe images I feel like they are taking a liberal interpretation of field watch. Which is fine, but to me, it should have numbers and I'm guessing when most watch enthusiasts think field watch, it has numbers. And usually no date too. The Loupe images looked like they just took the rotating bezel off the Aquitaine.

That was my thought, too. The teaser image does not look like a field watch. We’ll see…Rice and Gravy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 06, 2022 12:56 pm Seeing the Loupe images I feel like they are taking a liberal interpretation of field watch. If it’s sold as a field watch then it will be compared with the rather lovely Hamilton. I think that has a seventy hour power reserve, albeit beating at a lower frequency? Sealander 36 with black dial is already close to the BB36?Didier.O wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 5:43 pm Not really seeing a staggering difference between this would-be field drawing and the 36 Sealander on a strap or nato. Lets wait I guess.
I just hope it's not too much of BB36 clone, and it would also be nice if it had smth other than a SW200 with 38hrs of power reserve, which to me is starting to sound like NH35s on micro brands.

I wonder if CW are heading in this direction more than the dirty dozen look , which imho has been done to death now...- These users thanked the author 5oclockhero for the post:

Re: New Aquitaine Field Watch
Are the relaunched military series the final outcome of the teaser story on P11 of the current 'Loupe' ? They certainly are field watches, but they've left me underwhelmed and I'm not sure they improve on their predecessors. The image appeared to show an aquitaine style dial and the article mentioned colours too. I hope there's still more to come... fingers crossed.
