Hi,
Looking on the CW website I'm seeing a few watches listed as "Nearly new" which have some good discounts. Is anybody able to shed some light on what "nearly new" entails? Are the watches returns, been worn, possibly marked/damaged?
Thanks

Re: Nearly new
Welcome to the forum.
The official qualification of Nearly New, from CW's website is;-
A nearly new watch is in almost mint condition, but may have some light marks, which is why we are able to offer it at such a great discount.
How do they get this way?
Press / Social Media / YouTube review pieces. Customer returns that are not in 'new' condition, as they've likely been worn for a while etc.
Marks or damage? If you search around on the forum you'll find plenty of comments of forum members buying Nearly New watches and they have not been able to discern any difference from New condition.
I've bought numerous Nearly New pieces in the Sales over the last 12+ years and can honestly think of only two watches that had discernable marks on them; others have been, as far as I'm concerned, in new condition.
Bottom line of course is that, if a watch does not meet up with your expectations i.e. it has marks or damage that concern you and you're not happy, you are able to return the watch for a refund.
Final point to note, is that the 5 years 60/60 Guarantee starts from the date of your purchase; not any earlier date that the watch may first have been used or sold.
I hope that helps.

Re: Nearly new
^^^That's pretty comprehensive, and should allay your concerns.
I'll just add my view: If you bought a watch yesterday and are wearing it today, tomorrow it will be "nearly new".

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

I imagine swapping a bracelet for a strap would be enough to make a difference.exHowfener wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 12:15 pm ^^^That's pretty comprehensive, and should allay your concerns.

Re: Nearly new
Cheers for the responses. I had looked on the CW website but couldn't see any definition of what they classed as nearly new. Unfortunately by swithering over what nearly new might involve the watch I was considering is no longer on the website. That'll teach me.
