... and a few suggestions.
Firebird (wanted phoenix but that's taken by Junghans)
Typhoon

These are all the names I mentioned in my original post on Sneak Previews...

Speedbird has connotations of transatlantic travel to me, and I'm not 100% sure it's right for a fairly macho design (though I think the reality is that CW's watch is sufficiently different to the other design mentioned that he would infact be able to use it).
I wondered about Typhoon, which has modern and historic associations; TriMotor, which has aviation associations and reflects the three dials of a Chronograph (though they're Germanic); Vulcan (no, not Star Trek but the RAF V-bomber); or Meteor (again, another name with the echoes of aviation history - this time, the first Brit fighter jet).

Re: Name that C40 Contest
I would go for Vulcan or Blackbird if the C40 is an aviator style.
Both are fantastic looking and draw a lot of attention from crowds.

Re: Name that C40 Contest
After a quick review of both topics I see only a few duplicates...MorrisOx wrote:Kip, where do we stand on names that we suggested on the original C40 thread...some of which have been picked up by others on here...
Vulcan - first suggested by MorrisOx 6/26, also by Vangarian 6/30
Typhoon - first suggested by MorrisOx 6/26, also by mjh935a 6/30
Valiant - first suggested by Uncle Bill 6/26, also by Yoda 6/30
Griffon - first suggested by MorrisOx 6/30, also by Galton321 6/30
If I have missed anything let me know.
