The choose of colour is very hard, so maybe it's a good compromise to buy several colours with several straps and bracelets.
Based on what I've read, your best bet would be to order a Kigfisher LE with the SS bracelet, and a Kingfisher SYSK just to see how the IPK would hold up. As a backup, a leather or rubber strap might be just what the doctor ordered.

I am opting for an IPK bracelet on my #24 LE, since the #24 LE is the watch that my grandson will inherit when I die. If the IPK doesn't hold up, the bracelet can be replaced by the bracelet of the SWS.

Very nice watch Hans,I love that colour.Did you have to cut the rubber strap to get it to fit like Nick said he had to?

Congratulation, Hans!

The rubber strap looks great. I am very happy that I ordered my LE with rubber strap!

Apparently quite literally!

You got a yellow one didn't you? I am not sure I should see the pictures I know you are going to post.

I can see why you (and Joe, who should by now be tickled way beyond his tolerance threshold)
But, alas, I haven't ordered one. I want one, but I haven't ordered one. Here's my dilemma. I know I definitely want a yellow diver. I am already committed for the forum LE. Until someone posted the first picture of a blue KF, I was starting to wonder if I made a bad choice. Then, someone posted blue KF pics and the color knocked my socks off. There they are...over in the corner. Once I saw that shade of blue, I thought hmmm, that blue is darn sharp. I'll have to stay with the forum LE. I had considered trying to get a mercy job from Chris to put a yellow dial in my LE for me, but when I saw the blue, I decided I wanted to stick with the blue. Now I see the yellow, and I love the yellow.

Now, I know I definitely want the ETA KF. I am no longer saying I won't buy quartz again (already broke that with my orange sawtooth), but I would PREFER a yellow KF with an ETA. So, the dilemma is, do I order a yellow quartz KF now, or try to wait it out for an ETA version that will hopefully come later? Also, do I really want two watches that look the same except for the dial? I love that yellow, but I will already have two Aviators (once the white one ships), I have two orange seiko divers (monster and sawtooth), do I want to CW divers of the same basic model, or would I prefer more diversity? Tough question. We'll see what happens when I get that forum LE in my hands.

Adding to the confusion is how sharp I think that rubber strap looks on the yellow diver. The contrast of the black rubber with the yellow dial is dynamite. And as I have said before, the integration between the case and strap is the best I have ever seen. But I just don't like rubber straps. I just the weekend before last replaced the rubber strap on my sawtooth with a ss bracelet. So I really don't want a rubber strap...but it sure looks sharp! Decisions, decisions.

Yes, I was also gobsmacked when my Kingfisher arrived last week. Unfortunately it is running 4 seconds a day slow. I've returned it.

How could that be an automatic? Currently all KF's are quartz, I didn't even know that a quartz could run slow a few seconds a day.... I feel sorry for you charlesdidi, now that you have had the KF in your hands, it's a bummer that you had to return it!!

But it's a countdown to the delivery date now.
The waiting will be over in a few weeks now if everything goes right.

Yes, I'm really upset and disappointed. Worse things happen in this world, but I'm really down about it and am trying to be philosophical. The problem is that I had to wait so long for delivery and was eagerly anticipating the watch. I'm not asking for a replacement, because I've had to return my automatic twice and I need to return it again as it's going 34 seconds a day slow. The last time it was repaired, Chris adjusted it to 3 secs either way and it arrived at my house 18 seconds a day fast! Now it's gone 34 secs slow, I have to adjust it every couple of days. That's why I ordered a quartz. As I've written to Chris, I am obviously the customer from hell!

I think you had a "mondaymorning" watch.
Sorry to hear this, but i don't think it's Chris's fault.
There might be a problem with the movement.
Maybe it can be repalced by a new one to fix the problems.

Great looking watch Hans. I am very much looking forward to delivery of the LE - awaiting that e-mail from CW! Glad I ordered the Rubber Strap but was worried about Nick's comments re the size of the strap. Note that you had no problems after "surgery with scissors". Was it difficult, and does it leave the strap looking OK - can you show any photos of the "modification" for some guidance?
Joy to all watch lovers. :D
