Re: My C20 is on its way
Some great pictures on this thread. I will add again my weight to the fact that I think this is the nicest CW in my collection for weekday wear. If you haven't already got a C20 I'd recommend you take a second look as I think its well understated!

Re: My C20 is on its way
I can't really put my finger on why, but I don't like the C20. Of all the watches on the CWL website it's one of the few that, to me, looks a little.... dare I say it.... cheap.
Maybe it's just the difference between seeing it in person vs. on a computer? Really not sure. Something just seems off to me. I'm prepared for the forthcoming threats and insults

Re: My C20 is on its way
I hated the way the Lido looked on the website, but the closeout on the quartz version was such a deal that I couldn't resist. I thought it would be a good white face 'dressy' watch to go with my black C3. I changed my mind when I actually saw it in person. It is stunning in the flesh. The dial and hands are very elegant.

No insults from me, I shared your view of all the CW watches that was probably the one I liked least, then something changed, not sure what, may have been noticing the detail lines on the face, the qtrly lumes etc, but bought one from a member and must say seeing it in the flesh is a thousand times better than the images on the site.Adatech wrote:I can't really put my finger on why, but I don't like the C20. It is quite a large watch too so is quite imposing, in a good way. All I would say is try and get a look at one and see if your view changes.

Strange you say that, but for a long time I really didn't like it either. It looked plain and frankly boring on the site, and I was not attracted to it at all. It was only when I saw real photos of it on the forum and elsewhere that it began to draw me. Took me about two years to be won over. We'll give you a bit more time!Adatech wrote:I can't really put my finger on why, but I don't like the C20. Is the bracelet too wide for a dress watch? Compared to like a AT or date just, do you think this watch would look massive?
Re: My C20 is on its way
I'm wearing my C2 on steel bracelet today. I would say that it is a large "dress" watch, but not terribly large looking on the wrist. Probaby wears just a tad larger than my C3, but that's mostly due to the white dial. Basically, it just looks like a large standard men's dress watch.
The bracelet doesn't look particularly wide. The only reason that it measures 26 mm is the way it attached to the outside of the lug on the watch. It's about the same width as the distance across the outside of the lugs on the C3. So when I have the bracelets on both watches the sizes are about the same -- 40 mm cases with steel bracelets/lugs that measure about 26 mm where they meet the watch dial.

Posted this in another post on the C20 as a dress watch:lanari31 wrote:Is the bracelet too wide for a dress watch? Compared to like a AT or date just, do you think this watch would look massive?
I wore my C20 as a dress watch for the first time last Friday at a dinner. I wore it with a lounge suit. It is on the larger side compared to other watches I might wear for such an occasion; but it certainly fits the bill in terms of look. It doesn't look ostentatious or out of place; and it fit nicely under my shirt cuff.
Since the face is relatively clean and simple, the watch doesn't dominate the wrist or announce itself in brash terms. All in all I think it looked good on me!
