My C1 is here....

Post by m500dpp »

Yes my wife presented me with a C1SWK for my birthday. Will post a full review in the next few days but initial impressions:

- WOW! on opening the box this watch is simply beautiful, far exceeding my expectations. Elegant and classy.
- Hand alignment (was a bit worried about this!) perfect, any error would show given the very slim hands
- Quality far beyond my expectations, flawless case and face markings
- Leather strap a bit long for my skinny wrists - had to punch another hole!

Am I disappointed its quartz? No not a bit! its slimmer than it would be with a mechanical movement. I know there are many on this forum not going for the Russell because of the quartz movt, all I would say is dont deny yourselves any longer it really is a nice watch...........It will get a lot of wrist time, and the convenience of not having to set it is a benefit!

Nice watch. It's a bit more 'formal' than I'd normally choose but I can see a need(!).

I do like the fact that it's slimmer, somthing I didn't know about. I assumed it came in the same case as the the C5's. A slimmer swiss made movement would double the cost. Enjoy!
