My 38 mm Mk. II on a few different straps! I’ve found this one to be so versatile. Its especially gorgeous when it catches the sunlight. The quality really pops. I have a polished beads-of-rice bracelet on the way for it. Hoping to pick up a 40mm Blue bezel and dial soon!

Lovely collection, at one stage I had double figure Mk2’s but have thinned down that part of my collection in the past year…..although I still have 5 including the Beast. The Acan is my favourite, the colours are perfect and I do like a limited edition!

Finally got one incoming. Will post pics when it arrives of course.

It's coming on the original Mk 2 bracelet. I believe it's possible to get a Mk 3 bracelet that fits the Mk 2 case. Worth the effort?

New watch day! (Actually it arrived yesterday, but I washed it and refreshed some of the polish and then it was nighttime.)

Psyched about it. The green bezel is great. Turns out there’s no Mk 3 bracelet to fit Mk 2 in 38 mm, so never mind about my question above.

Did the 20mm Mk 2 bracelet ever have half-links? My bracelet came incomplete. I'm considering tracking down half links or fitting an aftermarket clasp with finer adjustment options.

I don't think so. Half-links were introduced after the time of the Mk2 bracelet, if I remember correctly.

I am enjoying looking at the photographs of these watches, but I am still confused, after a couple of years, of trying to learn which incarnation is which.
I missed the last of a Limited Edition, which was a Trident Pro 600 COSC that used the SH21 movement. I was hesitating trying to find out how big it was, I have very small hands and wrists (much smaller than my wife's hands as an idea). I see there are some C60 Tridents that are different sizes, but they also have the logo in different places! I am a fussy bugger and will not entertain the 'Christopher Ward' at 9 o'clock, it just looks aweful and unbalanced. As a professional photographer composition is important to me.
I have narrowed my search, aesthetically, to the version that has 'Chr.Ward' at 12 o'clock with hands that look like the sting of a scorpion, but I don't know which model or size they are - could someone elighten me please?

I dislike hollow hands, it is that single feature that prevented me from buying a Seamaster 300, the see through hands are just horrid. I am not keen on the arrow head hour hand either, the Tudor hands, that weird diamond blob thing just look cheap and nasty!

My quest for my special watch for a significant birthday continues. The Crown name is out, because I refuse to pander to their silly marketing games. It is only a watch, after all.

I believe that what you are seeking is known as the Trident Mark 2. There is good news and bad news.

The good news is that you can study every single CW model ever produced at your leisure, using the CW Archive, lovingly prepared for all and sundry by your friendly neighbourhood Admin Team.

Here is a link to the actual Watch.

The bad news from your point of view is that it was retired in 2019, to be replaced by the Mark 3, which you seem to hint that you are not likely to be fond of because of the placement of the word mark.

I can heartily recommend the C63 Sealander watches, which have a very nice bracelet and the word mark centred at 12 o’clock.

From the above it's the Trident C60 Mk2 in the 38mm size that fit your description. These have the name of Chr. Ward at 12 and are a good size for a smaller wrist or for somebody that prefers a smaller case. As mentioned in a previous post these were retired some years ago so are only available pre-owned and the opportunities to buy them seems to be less frequent now.

Some photos of this model to check these are what you are describing ....
