Like others have expressed, I am glad that it was you, Lindsey, that noticed this significant Forum milestone & didn’t let it pass without proper recognition. You eloquently put to words, the way that many of us feel about this forum. Your comparison of the forum community to the atmosphere of a local pub was spot on, I think. In my case, I wasn’t late to this thread but was more like the pub patron lingering near the cozy fireplace to the side. I was simply enjoying the warmth of being in this welcoming place, reflecting upon the conversation around me & resisting the temptation to bark out the first thought that came to mind. Compare me to the old dog that occasionally comes out from his place to bark out a thing or two & then returns to his spot. This watch forum is a community sharing an interest in common but can be a number of things to different people. There’s a civility here lacking in many social media platforms. The pub comparison & what it symbolizes really works for me. Well done, Lindsey!

I might be more of a cocktail pedant than cocktail guru!

@jkbarnes Anyone who understands the significance of a Gin Rickey in Casa is NOT a peasant pedant!

@missF
I have just stumbled upon the forum after being a collector within the last few years.
Your Million posts, reminds me of the passion that some share for watches and the companies that let the consumer be a part of the entity as a whole.
Taking an active approach in a community is not easy for all but glad to have found this wonderful community.

I've definitely taken an active part in the community over the past ten years, but the millionth post was the millionth post made on the forum as a whole - not personally

However, I agree with the sentiment - being part of the watchie community is a great thing. Welcome to the forum!
