Re: Loupe issue 2
within the 'insight' article JJ mentions that they can assemble around 2000 movements per year so does that mean the 90% of the work is outsourced ?
edit: is it just me or does it seem immature to describe themselves as 'proudly disruptive'

That was my impression too. I really abhor the round dial, the square dial is somehow better. If only they had gone center justified at 12....poppydoodlesdad wrote:I actually don't mind the square one, somehow less unbalanced than the round case (which doesn't work well at all IMO).

Re: Loupe issue 2
Interesting article about Sammi Kinghorn (she is a wheelchair athlete) who was paralysed in a farm accident.
I was attended a charity event a couple of years ago where she gave a speech talking about her injuries and competing as a disabled athlete.
She is truly an amazing young woman and I am very pleased to see Christopher Ward sponsoring her.

Re: Loupe issue 2
The Lindburgh article is interesting but does anyone else find it strange that the 4 watches listed on page 44 are a Breitling, Cartier, IWC and Omega. Although the C8 Flyer is mentioned in the article, why not show one of the CW aviation themed watches in the panel? Seems like an opportunity missed unless it's another attempt to create brand association by linking to upscale watchmakers.

Re: Loupe issue 2
The logo is self evidently just so wrong on these watches. What on earth were they thinking?
They've missed a trick really, by not using the crown and bridge design as a new logo for the dial. Or anything really.

Re: Loupe issue 2
For the new C5, I feel odd looking at the new logo at 9.
In Trident Classic and Trident Vintage, the logo looks more balanced - possibly because there is a date window at 3.
In C5 line, when the date window is missing, it makes the dial looks unbalanced.
Hope this can be improved.

Re: Loupe issue 2
Not got round to reading it yet, just flicked through. But the random mix of old and new logo watches simply adds to the general brand confusion.

Grateful for CW informing us of the difference between centre and left justification (p23). Outlining that the word Ward being centred means it sits underneath the R and P of the longer word Christopher was patently beyond my current comprehension although I will be graduating to my Janet & John books soon.......!
