Loupe 35

Post by Thegreyman »

Just had a quick look at Loupe 35, which landed today (by email) https://issuu.com/christopher-ward/docs/loupe_35_issuu

Drawing board - this I assume refers to a refresh of the C63 Sealander for 2025 with new dial colours, straps and dial pattern (some sort of textured dial).

Somewhat bizarrely there was an article on the penultimate page about Archie Gemmill's famous (at least it is if you are Scottish) goal vs Holland in the 1978 World Cup, which I remember watching as a kid, unfortunately too little to late for our chances of winning the tournament!

Sealander? Or the Dune? It feels like the Dune might be considered more of a 'field' watch. The reference to 'one of our most successful collaborations' might be the Shoreline?

Absolutely no inside knowledge on this. My own thoughts gleaned from public info.

That was my takeaway as well.

The Dune did not perform as well as they wanted so that is probably getting a refresh.
The Sealander and Sealander GMT have been such a hit and in all sizes, dials, and bracelets/straps so I doubt they would change that one now.

Hopefully this also means I can score a good deal on a Dartmouth v2 in the January sale.

I am more interested in the forthcoming model that has been specifically confirmed in Loupe.

It was the vintage lume that doomed the Dune (say that fast five times! ) for me. I can’t help but think it would create a completely different visual impression with white lume and more traditional dial colors.

The Dune/Shoreline reference was what I thought too. Should be interesting to see
