This turned up today
Al Deere.JPG One less for CW to try and sell in another sale
You post and purchase prompted me to read Al Deere's wiki page. He had quite the career. I don't know if I have it right but I think the aluminum disc on your watch came from his crashed Spitfire that was recovered from the farmers filed in 1973?
Excavated in September 1987, X4276's Merlin engine has been cut and sits in the backplate of the C8 engraved with Deere's famous message, squadron and crash date.

Ending my work week w/ a new arrival, a C65 Trident GMT(Nearly New) from the recent January sale...so far, so good..CW did a fine job on the design of these SS cases, imo..

I was thrilled to pick up a nearly new C60 #tide in sale:

However it seems to have a crack in the sapphire dial:

I assume this crack wouldn't be expected as normal under nearly new condition?
No - that's not right!
I would be straight onto Customer Services and have it sent back for a replacement (if another is available) or a warranty repair.

Oh no...that is not good! Definitely falls outside the parameters of "nearly new". I would be getting it sent back to CW right away. I am sure that they will make it good.

From late yesterday afternoon.
C60 Abyss GMT - V2

I posted this in the general January Sale thread a few days ago.

Some observations;-
Bracelet - This is the latest bracelet with 2/3rds links; all my previous C60 bracelets have been the 'old' version.
The difference is the 'old' bracelet had 6 + 6 links for which, to fit my 7.5" wrist, I would remove one link on the 6 o'clock section.
The 'new' bracelet has 6 + 5 + 2x2/3rds links, with one of the 2/3rds links in each section. It was therefore a simple task to remove both of the 2/3rds links, to give me 6 + 5 and a perfect fit.
Bezel - as part of the V2 spec (presumably) this is bi-directional.
Movement - This is stated on CW's website as being Sellita SW330-2 with 42 hours Power Reserve (which should be 56 hours if the movement stated is correct).
It does indeed have the SW330-2 as far as I can tell.
I've not tested the PR but from the feel of the crown / movement when winding and adjusting it is so light and smooth, especially the GMT hand, that it has to be the SW330-2.
Bottom line; if you're considering getting a C60 Abyss GMT in the Sale / Clearance get the V2 version. As I write there is still one listed.

I hope it answers your question.
