Thanks for that Alex, good to know!

I loved the design of the watch and it's only since ordering I've looked at reviews mentioning the push-pull crown, so was expecting that - if it's got a screw down when it arrives it'll be a wee bonus :)

The Abyss on a tide strap - looks excellent in the photos and have had an eye on getting an Abyss for a while :)
Snap, snap and snap.. I wont be able to read the time on it but cool nonetheless 😁

I could be blanking this time around. The watch I wasn't sure I wanted I popped into my basket but someone else baggsed it within the hour.

I'd love to hear some real-world impressions of the Abyss watches - I absolutely love the look of them, but wonder how usable they are! (of course, I suppose there's the question of whether watches are actually worn to *gasp* tell the time these days  )

The flashes of red against the dark grey look gorgeous in the publicity pictures.

My dispatch email was in my inbox this morning. It says my Abyss on a bracelet should arrive on Tuesday, the 11th. That would be lightning quick for my being in the States & just making the order yesterday. With the price being under the customs threshold, maybe it won't be held up this time.

I love my Abyss. It’s one of my most worn watches. I find legibility is just fine in all but very low light conditions. Perfectly functional for me.

The only real downside to an Abyss, in my opinion as a collector who frequently makes room by flipping watches with little wrist time, is that the resale will not be good. If you don’t care about resale value, then I think these are solid, sharp-looking watches that will be plenty visible in lighted conditions. Smoking deals, too.

I don’t see any lume shots of the 3-hand Abyss. Are the bezel markers lumed like the GMT, or just the pip?

Picked up a blue Sealander. I try to keep my collection below 10 watches, so don't know if it will be a keeper, but it ticks a lot of boxes! Excited to check it out.

It's the one on the left. The lume fades quickly!

Looks good, are we talking "fades to dim then lasts the night" which sounds like stealth by design or "fades to nothing in a couple of hours"?

The latter. The photo is flattering as it was fresh from a UV torch blast and faded away in minutes.

The watch itself is fabulous and maybe my 'coolest' watch. I'd definitely recommend it. I just wouldn't buy it hoping to be impressed by the lume

About the same for me.

I really like my Abyss SH21 and find the legibility fine. You get used to looking at it at the right angle.

Actually, I'm suitably happy with it that I have an Abyss GMT on the way, which I hadn't realised until last night, has a two tone bezel.

For those who had their orders dispatched already, what time did you place your order? I placed my order at around 11 AM PST but no dispatch notice yet 😢
