However it seems to have a crack in the sapphire dial:

I assume this crack wouldn't be expected as normal under nearly new condition?
Looking carefully at the picture it appears to have originated from the screw retaining hole. It may have developed from the weak spot where drilled and opened out due to change in temperature etc. It is 100% returnable for swap or repair. Being nearly new I'm guessing they may offer repair but at least it will be fixed

Looks fab! And I guess a rare sight in rural Kansas. They are a relatively rare sight in Surrey which is only 30 miles from CW HQ. How did you pick up on the CW brand - through other watch fora?

I took this the other day. As with all my CW's it wears exceptionally comfortable.

Thank you! My picking up on the CW brand was due to a bit of good fortune & curiosity. Like many people, I lived many years unaware of the world of luxury watches. As I have grown older, my philosophy has been a preference towards quality. Out of curiosity, I read enough about the history of watches to understand the role British firms had played in the past. I did an internet search of "British watchmakers" & the Christopher Ward name was on a list of about 10 companies. As soon as I browsed the Christopher Ward website & read the story behind the brand, I was interested. Further comparison with other Swiss brands revealed the value CW offers. In the end, I liked the design features & the appearance of Christopher Ward watches appealed to me more than others. The Trident second hand immediately caught my eye & before long, that first Bronze Ombre Trident was on its way to Kansas. And, no, I have never seen a Christopher Ward watch being worn by someone else. Now, that I am an avid CW fan, I do notice what others wear.

C65 Trident GMT came on a camel vintage oak strap but is on a black hybrid until I get my spare trident bracelet sized.

NN, yet no blemish to be seen. The C65 line is great, and I’m happy to add another. Did I need it? Well, I didn’t have a blue one…. :p

Picked up a NN C63 Auto black on tide and decided to go back for a bracelet, and I just couldn’t resist the Cordovan with Bader too. So now I have 3 straps for it and paid as much as if I would have picked up a new Sealander GMT. :? Oh well.

It’s a very nice watch and has already received a ton of compliments. I would recommend to anyone to pick up the Cordovan strap. It’s a very very nice strap on all watches.

Maybe now I can finally talk CW into selling me a white faced GMT without a band to slip under the $800 mark (this hasn’t been met with approval in the past, hint hint if anyone from CW is looking-credit card is locked and loaded— :D ).
