The C9 5-Day is getting a solid gold model, perhaps followed by a solid rosegold one in the future. The price is expensive so it again reiterates why I think this year's FLE is such a great deal.
That's a shame people grumbled about that gold Jumping Hour. It's one of CW's best and most original designs, and it looks even nicer than the steel version. CW should have apologized but released it anyway because I doubt any would care now but we'd have a great watch on the secondhand market.
I'm glad they didn't. The wording of their original ad was very specific. Going against it might have been actionable as misrepresentation. Some buyers might have bought their JH Mk 1 in reliance on that promise of exclusivity.
Try to search for that forum thread. It was a serious issue. People were upset.

Given the recent overhaul of the CW straps range, I was also very surprised that there was no significant mention of this in the magazine; I rather expected a large article/promo on the subject.
It got a good few pages 25-27 I think.

Ah, OK -- they put it out under the article about the "challenger programme." Shows how much attention I was paying (!). I was expecting a bit more about the straps themselves or how the range would work. Oh well...

Isn't it just the BEZEL that's solid gold, not the whole case...?

Yes, just the bezel.

I got my copy as well. I shall enjoy reading it and then putting it on the coffee table at work as usual. It hasn't worked yet, but I keep trying. Expecting a few sharp intakes of breath with this one!

Just realized if they're coming out with a blue bezel/white dial model, they must be coming out with a blue bezel/black dial. Someone here wanted that combo bad and emailed Chris, remember? I think I will like that more than the all blue because the ceramic will stand out more. I bet those that feel the Trident Red ripped off Tudor will have a even stronger case now (though I disagree with that and also Rolex did it way back in the 50s).
Really enjoyable read with some nice "interest" pieces on people and thoughts on time, etc.
Glad to see the response to demand on new models (especially the expansion of the new Trident range).
The Spitfire is rather ugly and I must confess I thought "even with bits of metal they can't be looking much north of £1500 for this" but today I got the email. Ahem.
Wow. White watch with white wands! What?? Where?? Why??
I'm going back to 1985 to get a white tux with white bow tie, white shoes and white gloves to wear this thing! I'll stand in front of the White House and nobody will ever find me, and I'll have no clue what time it is (till dark when the lume shows up)
I haven't seen reference to the autumn release as mentioned in the AMA on reddit. Did I read that there is the possibility of a titanium C60 in the autumn? That's an interesting proposition........

This blue / white combo is tempting me - can't wait to see it.
