Nice work T2, I really like all of them, I see what you mean about the watch not being a LE, as all the single coloured bezels look unbelievable good. But if it were to be a LE it would be very very speical indeed. Either way I hope something is done.

T2 thanks very much for doing the green mock ups, I really like both but I think the black dial/green bezel would be the one which would sell the best.

I am sure these could be put in production very quickly and by the looks of things they could be good sellers.

Thanks Andy.

Yes I would imagine Chris could do this very quickly with minimal set up costs as it is basically a W6. It was a strange decision to bring out the W6. I certainly did not see it coming ie a smart looking Diver but for the ladies only.

However if there is still one thing missing for CWL it is a "grail" watch. One that many people would love to own. He needs just one killer watch to really boost the brand. Of course there are many Sub lookalikes out there. Virtually all manufacturers have done one at some point or another. However the W6 dial and hands do stand out as something a little different and look very good. The hand design even looks like it can accomodate Tritium Tubes. These mockups look like they would make for a fantastic "tool" watch within many peoples budget. A Rolex Sub is all very well but many of us will be unlikely to ever own the real thing. However a decent looking well made Swiss Made Diver surely cannot fail can it?

My ideal spec would be as you see in the mockups but with

Day Date ETA 2836-2 ( Chris has this for the LE )
Polished Stainless Steel Case
Different case back from the C6. We can think about that.
A stainless steel bracelet with divers extention. ( not a rehashed C4,C6 bracelet with that damn clasp )
Tritium Tubes on the Hands.

Can it be done for £299.99?

I think Chris could just about manage it.

It cant be a quartz this time though. Enough of quartz because quartz will never be taken seriously as a grail watch to really boost the image of CWL as a serious watchmaker.

Thanks Lampo. Yes an LE would be no good because if its an LE then it will be just one design and there would never be much point in owning more than one. With multiple options though then we could have one for each wrist lol.

P.S. Put me down for a "Pepsi".

It wasnt the best Nato strap I could find but here is one for all you Nato fans. The possibilities of this watch are endless. It has to have mass appeal. Surely!

You listening Mr Ward. :D

These look very good but you will get the inevitable Rolex and Steinhart etc comparisons. However with an auto and a good choice of colours I agree that these would sell very well if Chris wanted to move this way

With just one watch a few bezels and straps you could have lots of fun :)

If im honest stoneyloon I really dont want one. Yes it would be nice but I dont have a hunger or aspire to one. Yes you are right. I could save up and if Im honest I could afford one. It might make my bank account go "ouch" for a bit but its perfectly achievable. What I cant afford though is 20 of them and I like my watches too much to settle for one. I could have 20 half decent watches for the price of just one Sub. Also they are a ripoff and I dont like getting ripped off. Feel free to watch the video mentioned by Vista.

http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... f=8&t=3099

Even in there they comment that brands like Rolex are way over priced. Im not a Sub fan but I do like a Sub style bezel. I always have done. Who came up with it first is of no interest to me. Omega, Seiko and virtually every watch manufacturer have all done one so why cant CWL do so without cries of "replica merchant". I still call my Dyson " the hoover" but in the grand scheme of things does it really matter? I like the style and I trust CWL so as long as it has a decent heart beating within then thats fine with me. I like dive watches and to me a Sub style bezel on a diver belong together like Strawberries and Cream.

I can see only one possible problem with the new forum 'sub killer', and it the C600 Tri-tech, Chris may not want to bring out a new range of divers as I'm sure a lot of effort must have gone into the C600, so for that reason I don't think we'll have a the sub killer in a full range, just the 2010 LE, hope I'm wrong though, I could see myself with a couple of the these.

T2, has Chris replied to your email yet?

I see Chris has posted today, wonder if he could give us a clue as to his thoughts on this very interesting topic?

No he hasnt but thats not unusual. It often takes days but I just put it down to him getting inundated with e,mails or not being around.

I didnt know he used the forum though. I just thought Wera used it.

As for the C600 well you could be right. Everyone has different tastes so some may love it but it will never appear on my wish list as I personaly cannot stand black watches ( PVD) and that bezel for me is awful too. Other than that Chris is a businessman and he would be foolish to completely ignore demand if it can be proved it is there. A gents W6 was not just my idea. I am just helping the imagination along by creating images that people can visualize the concept better. The instant reaction when the preview was first shown though was an overwhelming response that the men wanted it too. I would be surprised if Chris choose to ignore this but of course he might as is his right. I would be surprised if the watch envisaged in this thread though would not be a success overall.
