Last minute buys this afternoon leaving just 35 tickets. £1 will buy a ticket and a chance to walk away with this….

The frustrating thing is, I’m not allowed to buy a ticket.

Good luck,

Richard

Well done Richard - is there no option to just release additional tickets rather than drawing it early? I suppose some may grumble that it dilutes their odds, but the whole purpose is to maximise the benefits for the charity, winning the watch is just a nice wee bonus for someone!

We settled on raising £2000 and that was achieved within a fortnight. The plan is to run these raffles biannually with a significant prize on offer. This, alongside our retail outlets and events, we deliver considerable amounts of funds to support the NHS.

I believe from posts on a Facebook Group the winner, and recipient of the watch, is a CW enthusiast for whom this will be his first CW watch.

Congratulations to him.

I’m delighted that this morning the raffled watch was delivered safely. It’s the first watch that I have packed and dispatched, I can honestly say I was nervous. The recipient posted this on a Facebook Group:

‘Hello. As promised my new CW. Its amazing. Thank You Richard. My first CW and its a beauty. Really happy to start a new week with amazing watch’.

My Board of Trustees will be meeting tomorrow to vote on where the money raised will be spent. I will share what your kindness has gone to support.

Thank you, now to plan the next raffle.

Congratulations to Richard for organising this, and to CWL for making it all possible. There wasn't an exorbitant number of tickets sold, and I am sure we all felt we had a real chance of securing the watch. I know the donations/entry fees will be put to very good use. I think I'm ready for the next draw now!

Congratulations to Mr X from Plymouth, Wear your lovely new watch in good health.

Update, my board of trustees met last night and agreed to add an additional sum of £18,000 to the £2,000 raised in the raffle. In total £20,000 will be donated in this financial quarter to our Maternity Unit. In particular, to help provide for bereavement suites on our Maternity wards to help families who experience loss of a pregnancy or death of their baby and get the support they need at this difficult time.

Again, thank you for your kindness and generosity.

That’s a great result, and for a very worthwhile cause. I’m sure a very rewarding experience.
