Re: Keeping things ticking
Got to say I believe that mechanical things need to be used or in the case of watches kept running, maybe not the thing to compare it with but my 1936 Morris Ten does not like being laid up. The more use it gets the better it runs.
When I was bound apprentice in famous Lincolnshire,
Full well I serv'd my master, for more than seven year,
Till I took up to poaching, as you shall quickly hear.
Oh, 'tis my delight on a shining night, in the season of the year.
