I had a scooter when I was a kid and used to bomb around my Uncles (large ) garden on it. No idea what it was other than white as it had no bodywork left but it had a three speed twistgrip gearchange, was 2 stroke and went like a rocket on grass!
It didn't have loads of mirrors.
It didn't have loads of chrome.
It didn't have loads of anything, but it was sure fun!

I like that: Swill movement and English Heart. Welcome...TV175 wrote:So... I've admired the watches and the way that the brand has grown for a couple of years now, so today I took the plunge and ordered a C50 Malvern COSC.
I've already got a number of Swiss watches in my collection, so I'm looking forward to a newcomer with Swiss movement, and English heart
I'll report back once the watch has arrived and tell you all what I think...

Welcome TV175.
Ignore the nutters.
(that's all of us)
Looking forward to your impressions of the C50 (and - of course - the pictures).

Re: Just ordered my first CW Watch
Thanks for all the 'welcomes'.
The watch arrived yesterday and I'm pleased with it.
I'm wearing it today as I'm considering it as my daily watch and so far so good.
The packaging was impressive... inline with Raymond Weil which I guess is a familiar/target marketplace for CW?
I think it is going to take some time to get a proper feel of my new C50... it's a little lighter than I imagined and feels a little more delicate than I'm used to... but I recall I feel like that with every watch I buy. My Breitling Navitimer felt 'delicate' once upon a time and I now consider it is as solid and capable as any watch I own. Certainly the C50 clasp feels a great deal lighter than I'm used to, but something that I can understand given the price of the watch.
A couple of people who have seen it so far 'like it...' which has to be a good thing.
I'll await comments from my friends over the next week who I would consider afficiando's as such... I'm expecting them to be positive.

Keep us informed on how you get on with the COSC C50 once you have become used to it.

Re: Just ordered my first CW Watch
Afternoon,
I've now had some serious 'time' with the watch... no pun intended eh!
I've worn it each day this week and it really does feel fabulous and looks terrific.
I'm lucky enough to own a number of more expensive watches and I have to say that the C50 is really ticking lots of boxes... and certainly represents good value for money with a lot of style.
I've not been with my friends whom I would consider 'experts' this week, so I'll be interested it what they say about it.
So far so good...

Good to hear that you were not disappointed.
It is a very nice watch from what I've read.
