The new bezel is welcomed for sure - very handy in a GMT.

^^^ In addition, my experience of the movement with the Sealander is that it is very good. Accuracy and power reserve are well up to spec, and the GMT hand sets in a way that is positive and precise.

I know I’m very much in the minority but I still prefer the ‘hybrid’ bezel of the MK2 GMT

The improved moment, with a sensible amount of power reserve is the key improvement.

Having a bidirectional bezel is completely irrelevant!

I think the option to rotate both ways is an improvement. Why wouldn’t it be? Yeah you can just “go around again” but it’s nice to be able to go plus or minus as you wish.

^^^ oh look it has taken me 8 seconds to set the bezel, rather than the 1 second it would have taken had the bezel been bi-directional… :)

A superficial change, likely to only be of interest to a few folk on watch forums who have been conditioned to think that a GMT bezel has to be bi-directional.

My Mk3 Red GMT has the Bi-Directional bezel already, does that mean it has the upgraded movement?
I bought it in July this year.

I think I'm mostly indifferent to the bi-directionality improvement just so long as the ratchet is strong enough to resist normal, everyday push-pull forces as might be generated by tight cuffs/sleeves when pulling the jumper/fleece/coat off or on.

56 hour power reserve? Yes please.

I am very happy* with the identical looking watch I picked up in the sale for £633.

Yes, the bezel only rotates on one way and the power reserve is 14 hours less, but I’ll take the juicy price over those minor improvements.

*I would be happier if it wasn’t at CW towers for 12 weeks getting the bezel realigned.

I think the bezel change is a good thing. I know some people wanted it though I guess most casual people won't care. I've got one GMT (Monta) and it is bi-directional. Not being a dive watch I appreciate the extra detail for travel.

I’ve a number of ‘desk’ divers and I can honestly say I cannot remember when I last rotated any of the bezels. The only rotation I do is wearing a different watch.

Having said that, the new C60 GMT is a lovely watch.
