It is never okay. Even though I was born, raised, and spent most of my life here, one never gets use to the smell when all that stuff comes up out of the pavement in the spring after it warms and the first rain appears. Then we get to smell it all summer as it festers in the heat.

...And, as a Manhattan-ite, Yankees and Giants.
