The sales are fun to check out but one doesn’t want to plan on finding a specific item. Unless it’s a line of watches being closed out, single pieces don’t hang around long. Minutes literally make all the difference. Here’s a case in point. Last winter, I sold the first Christopher Ward watch that I ever bought, a C60 Trident Pro 600 Ombre LE. Over time, I had grown to dislike the embossed case back that rubbed my wrist & I was looking at the expense of a service that was due. I preferred the slimmer C60 Bronze 300 with its smooth exhibition case back with nicely decorated rotor. If one became available in this sale at a discount, I told myself that I would buy it. This morning I checked the sale listings & noticed a few items had been added like the “Bumble Beast” C60 chronograph. Only minutes later, there was the C60 300 Bronze on my wish list! Gone! In less than ten minutes, it had shown up & sold. I will live as I already have plenty of watches. I have noticed a nice looking green gradient dialed Twelve “nearly new” watch that has been available since yesterday. One of those watches that I think is a nice watch for a lot people but not so sure the shape of an integrated bracelet watch is for me. Maybe I would change my mind if I tried it on in the CW showroom. Buying a CW watch & returning it is something that I have never done. Point being is the discount on the watch is about 20% & had a higher initial base price. Could be why that one has been slow to sell. Such is the nature of the sales. Not complaining as I have bought a couple nice watches on past sales which I still have. One was a Series 1 black dialed Dartmouth & the other a dark blue Super Compressor. I really enjoy wearing both & have no plans to part with them. My comments are more to illustrate my expectations of a Christopher Ward sale. You just never know.

That green Aquitaine is a strange discount. It's just over 45% about the biggest I've seen, apart from the flyer.

That’s a nice watch, and really good value at that price, if I hadn’t ordered the moonglow i’d buy it. Image

Some more watches are up now. Couple moon complications, and a few C60 300s

I literally cannot win today (or yesterday). What is the trick to getting checked out quickly?

That is even less expensive than all the C65 Dune Green on strap they still have listed. I can't spend my entire day refreshing my browser in the hopes something fun comes up, then I put in my cart, and by the time I try to check out I get an out of stock error.

I could not get one in my cart and checkout fast enough before they were gone.

I think you just have to be lucky!

I keep debating the bumblebeast when it shows up in these sales but the reality is I don’t need it and I’m saving up for something else. Can’t believe they still have some left.

I normally partake of a strap or three in a sale but this time the only ones I want have bronze buckles. Buying extra straps to swap buckles feels like it’s not the point of buying in a sale!

I bought one in the January sale, and I really like it. However, it is quite tall on the wrist. I was not prepared for that and have ended up chipping the sapphire after knocking my arm on something. So be aware of that!

Just scored a Consort bracelet for my 36mm Sealander! Even saved another $7 off the sale price buying in GBP.

Seen it, pretending it doesn’t exist. :P
As Gawith4life posted, the height keeps putting me off else it would’ve been a done deal years back.

I'm sure it will be gone soon because the sale is now posted on IG. Now that it is after 6pm in Maidenhead, the drops might be done for today.

Does anyone know why they choose to add watches to the sale over time, rather than just listing everything that is going to be listed from the off? Just curious.
