That is completely unacceptable in my opinion and would be going back.TomaszW wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 12:35 pmFound another thing on the bezel near the edge with burr. On the bezel between 22 - 24 - 2, one of the dots isn’t black at all, the other one seems to have a white spot on it.TomaszW wrote:My sealander gmt with black dial just was delivered. It has some scratches on the case, I’m not sure if that’s a deal breaker for me tho. I assume they would occur anyway.
There’s also a minor burr on the edge of the bezel. I was looking for a magnifying glass yesterday to check the hands etc. and the one thing people said is “Don’t do it. It will ruin the experience.” and I think I agree with that and in the end I didn’t buy it.
Tide strap is so stiff it’s insane. So I ordered some fkm rubber straps. I’m not sure how I feel about the watch, but if I decide to keep it I will probably get the bracelet anyway.

Re: July 2022 sale
Are the dots in dents? Looks like they are but not sure how you could get one out that cleanly. Definitely not good...
Re: July 2022 sale
It's going back. I posted it already in another thread.
Someone mentioned that when people return watches CW grade them and depending on the watch condition they refund X amount of money. If that was the case, with 2 major sales per year I really think that maybe they should put the grade system in place so people know what they are buying.
It's sad because the product quality seems to be really good. The crown feels smoother than my Tissot Gentleman I think.TomaszW wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:52 pm I said this before:
I think I would rather spend 100GBP more and get the brand new watch in comparison to what I received. No hard feelings tho. There was always this chance that it will arrive like this.TomaszW wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 3:54 pm I got NN black c63 sealander gmt on the tide strap. First CW watch.
Not gonna lie tho, I think I have expected better pricing.
595 + 175 (if I want a bracelet) = 770, a brand new one on a bracelet is 970 and once the voucher is back it will be 870 with probably a new logo soon. Therefore, the difference between a brand new one and nearly new is 100GBP. Idk. We will see.

Re: July 2022 sale
I though the NN watches were also trade/display samples from shows and so on, so heavily tried on, but possibly not excessively worn. I suppose if they get worn by bloggers and vloggers they will show more wear.

I wanted another C63 (black dial), by the time I had finished scrolling through the other items on sale the C63 had gone

Was hard not to buy a 40mm black Trident but I got an iron in another fire. I'll get 1 sometime.

Re: July 2022 sale
One of a total of two watches from the July sale arrived today. I'm still unsure if I can make friends with the Abyss SH21. I will need some time to think it over and if necessary it will go back to CW....

Re: July 2022 sale
Great looking watch! I almost jumped on one of those and kinda wish I had. They look far more legible in the flesh than on CW’s website. I still long for the day when CW just puts the SH21 movement in a Trident case with a “plain” dial and hand set, like a few years back. I hope it’s a keeper for you.
I also have an Abyss incoming, but it’s the V2 GMT version along with a C60 42mm Blue GMT, C60 40mm black GMT and a blue Elite 1000 prototype. Hopefully, it’s an exciting week…or a stressful one. Depends on DHL, which is hit or miss here in the States.

The green Aquitaine arrived today. In my cursory review I’ve found no flaws.

C65 Aquitaine GMT on a selection of straps as the bracelet is yet to be resized.

I also picked up a CW Grand Malvern Worldtimer; photos to follow.

New here, does the sale occurs each month, or is it just July 2022?
Regards.

Re: July 2022 sale
One of those V2's is sitting on a DHL truck as we speak running around the Metro right now trying to find it's way to me.
It was actually an accident I bought it. I refreshed my PP screen to see what the GBP v's USA rate was when VAT removed and I hit complete. I had planned on canceling it, but my C60 Trident showed up the next day and swayed my decision to keep it. Should be a couple of Tide straps in the same shipment as well.

Re: July 2022 sale
There are two main Sales each year; July and January.
Each has a 'Preview' period for Customers on CW's email mailing list, although details are always made know on here at the same time.
