Cos it’s a flop
All the Aquitaine watches in the sale so far have been in the Nearly New condition so have been returned under 60/60. There are lots of other (none Aquitaine) models also being sold in the nearly new condition, so I'm not sure if one can reasonably extrapolate that the Aquitaine is a flop.
Just my hunch.
Current collection = Omega Seamaster 2225.80.00, Omega Speedmaster 'Moonphase' 3576.50.00, Bretling Aerospace Evo, Vinatge Azur, Vintage dressy Seiko & SBGX059

It does look like there have been a lot (there are six month's worth of returns for the C60 Sapphires which have been available since the start, only a month or so of Aquitaines) but there would be review samples as it's new and I guess more people will buy just to see the new model, but if there was interest at the high price there should be similar interest in the sale from people unwilling to spend the full price.

I've always assumed the "minor damage" would be external but perhaps they've done extra QC looking for scratched hands and marked the bad ones as NN?

I think it’s important to understand that NN is not necessarily synonymous with “damaged” or “imperfect”.

I have only ever bought two NN watches, but I couldn’t find any evidence of marks or damage on either of them. They appeared quite perfect to me.

My sealander gmt with black dial just was delivered. It has some scratches on the case, I’m not sure if that’s a deal breaker for me tho. I assume they would occur anyway.

There’s also a minor burr on the edge of the bezel. I was looking for a magnifying glass yesterday to check the hands etc. and the one thing people said is “Don’t do it. It will ruin the experience.” and I think I agree with that and in the end I didn’t buy it.

Tide strap is so stiff it’s insane. So I ordered some fkm rubber straps. I’m not sure how I feel about the watch, but if I decide to keep it I will probably get the bracelet anyway.

It isn't and mine were both perfect too but "may have some light marks" is in the description so you can't complain if there are some. Which rolls nicely into

You're right - that "damage" could easily happen on the first day I wore a watch without me knowing how. 40% off the price to not worry about marking a new watch? I'd take that any day

I've read spending an hour rolling the tide strap while watching TV helps break it in - it's worth a try.

I learned that the hard way when I ordered Tissot Gentleman with its polished links on the bracelet, tried to return it and was told I scratched the bracelet and therefore were denied the return. I wore it maybe for 10 minutes in total when trying it on and to be honest it came with no protection on the bracelet so maybe it wasn’t done by me, but I just didn’t feel like fighting over it since I liked the watch, but wanted to try something else.

With the NN watches, my assumption would always be that someone has bought it, taken it out of the box, worn it for at least a few days and decided it wasn't for them. I'd expect scratches and that is fine by me as long as it doesn't look like years of wear and tear.

Tide straps.... I got used to the one that came with my Sealander GMT, in May, but recently replaced it with a Tribus leather strap. Options for my new Trident 600 Pro are either to swap in my used Tide strap or go for something else. I've ordered a posh rubber strap from Tribus and a couple of cheaper, colourful FKM straps from eBay. What I don't have is any stomach for breaking in a new Tide and generally wouldn't order a watch with one of these straps where there is an alternative.
Beat up vintage Swatch Irony, C5 Malvern (the original), Swiss Military Swiss Soldier Quartz, Seagull 1963, Swatch Blurang Automatic, Swatch Cafe de Flore, Sealander GMT, Trident Pro 600, Fitbit Charge 5. Festina 8810, Addiesdive AD2113 knock off.

The two Aquitaine GMTs are available to look at but not add to bag. I don’t know if that means someone has them in cart but not checked out or if it’s glitch but it doesn’t seem like there’s a pile of them just sitting there hoping for someone to adopt them.

Found another thing on the bezel near the edge with burr. On the bezel between 22 - 24 - 2, one of the dots isn’t black at all, the other one seems to have a white spot on it.

Prototype BLUE and C60 chrono added, along with a couple of Abyss GMTs if anyone's interested.

I know it's a prototype, but was the C60 Chrono Pro ever £1630 on a rubber strap?
RRP price was always below £1500 from memory on a bracelet - had a look in the archive, but no mention of the RRP.
Current collection incl Alpina, Citizen, Eterna, Oris, Rado, Seiko & Tag.

I seem to have formed a habit of refreshing the page every few minutes now. Any help on how to get my life back is more than welcome :D (so far the damage is an Orca Aquitaine GMT, and Green/White Sand Aquitaine!)

The resale page suggests the "Last price range" started at £1530, not sure if rubber was the cheapest option. Doesn't matter really - if you want it today that's the price. It's too big for me!

Thankfully they're GMTs - a standard one would have been too tempting having seen all the pics after the last sale.
