@nbp - sorry Neil but the GP is too large for you. :problem:

Keep up the good work today.

Kevin_b1 would like some pics of the C8 UTC which I missed out yesterday; if you've got time.

^^^^^ As I took a couple of the Power Reserve one (which was too big for me) I didn't take any of the UTC. :(

Now about that GP - in view of the price I am happy to agree it was (just a little) too big for me as well. :D

I did like the C1 though and if I was still buying any more new watches I would seriously consider it...... :silent:

The favourite watch I tried on at the CW stand was a GS Snowflake Spring Drive that belonged to someone who was also looking at CWs. :)

I tried on a U-Boat bronze. Guess what, I needed a bigger strap.
Was a very nice watch.
It looked okay (ish) :?

A few more snaps from yesterday

and I quite liked this one

Blue and white C1s

and another surprise. I really quite fancy the Stealth C60 Trident Titanium. Even, or particularly, on the bracelet it was soooooo light.

Some excellent photos from the show guys. Keep them coming!!

I think many are deserving of being in the "Reference Gallery.

Yes; the C8 Flyer SH21 Power Reserve is an undeniably fine watch but, for some reason, it doesn't quite gel for me.

I feel the feature that bugs me is the black case. To me a true Aviator watch should have a blasted matt stainless steel case, in the mould of the original B-Uhr. The C8/C80s that I've owned were true to this ideal and, in the guise of the C8 MkII Vintage that I've recently acquired it is completely (I hate the overly frequent current use of the word 'absolutely') true to the ethos of an Aviator, and the vintage lume sets the watch off beautifully.

Additionally, I would have to liquidate too many likeable watches from my current collection to achieve the C8 Flyer PR.

For now, therefore, it is off my shopping list, unless or until CWL release a normal bead blasted case version. :-k :problem:

We had a wonderful time. We met Gary and Clarky for brunch in Sloane square and headed to SalonQP then and met up with Paul Drawmer.
Great craic with the guys :)
Louise and myself had a really good proper chat with Chris Ward and Chris introduced us to the infamous Johannes Jahnke. It was enthralling listening to Johannes and his passion for the SH21 calibre.

Nice photos Ferg. I am glad you were able to meet JJ. He is a very interesting and extremely talented person.

Did you meet Jorge Bader as well?

Thanks Kip. It was so busy there that time flew and I didn't get the opportunity sadly.

That made me laugh Neil LOL :)
I am into my cars in fairness, but the other attendees had already taken superb photos on the previous days so I knew I couldn't better those so hence no watch photos.
