Re: January 2022 Sale
Personally, and I don’t always go for the rare model. But I think the sales frenzy ideal is over hyped, in a humorous way. It just gives way to some good natured and funny posts.
Obviously some are inevitably disappointed but that is always the case in all sales, not necessarily just CW.
I’ve always got the watch I was after and I don’t avidly refresh every few seconds.

Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night. Be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels, Frank Sinatra

Re: January 2022 Sale
That's a bit of good news to cheer up January! I may not land anything in the sale but I enjoy checking to see what is being listed. You just never know for sure. There are watches on my list if they are offered at the right price.

Can you please identify your source... if that's official or just a rumor? Thanks for sharing this info!
Re: January 2022 Sale
I love the sales! I don't always buy things, or I buy something that I end up not wanting/needing, but I love compulsively checking the website for new additions. I think 25% of my "keeper" watch collection (white slimline square, C65 yellow limited edition, and blue dartmouth) have come from the sales over the years, and numerous others have graced my wrist for awhile before moving on in the ever-evolving watch collection.

And at one of the FB groups the same question is being asked of information attributed to this forum. Re: January 2022 Sale
I've been planning to buy a CW (my first) in January for a while (started investigating nice automatic watches back around September I think, which is when I started to hear the name 'Christopher Ward' everywhere...) - annual bonus time is December and my birthday is January, so knowing there's an annual sale about this time each year is just lovely!
Appreciate there are no guarantees of a bargain, but I've got a list of 3 or 4 models that I'd be more than happy with at full price, so if I can get my hands on one at a discount I'll be more than happy

The silence (re the source of the postponement statement) is deafening .....tikkathree wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 4:51 pmAnd at one of the FB groups the same question is being asked of information attributed to this forum. Re: January 2022 Sale
The feeling of managing to snag a CW you've been eyeing during the sale is awesome! Head's up that it can sometimes go wrong, and that's part of it. They sent me the wrong watch once and didn't have the one I ordered in stock! Still, CW's are good value at full price, and amazing value during the sale. Oh, and do not buy the Al Deere. It's cursed.Stif wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 5:20 pm I've been planning to buy a CW (my first) in January for a while (started investigating nice automatic watches back around September I think, which is when I started to hear the name 'Christopher Ward' everywhere...) - annual bonus time is December and my birthday is January, so knowing there's an annual sale about this time each year is just lovely!

Re: January 2022 Sale
This will be my first CW January Sale, so I'm excited to see what kinds of things pop up! No particular watches that I'll be searching for, but good luck to all of you on snagging the watches you're interested in!

Re: January 2022 Sale
I would love a prototype. Almost don’t care which one but partial to older C60s.
Re: January 2022 Sale
I wasn’t going to get a watch in the sales this time, but I’m already thinking what can I sell to pay for one
