WileyECoyote wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 11:52 pm Just last night, I told a fellow Forum member that I had decided to pass on a watch that he had for sale. Reason being, I had "spent my watch budget" on a couple of CW watches recently. Then, I checked the Clearance page today & discovered a watch that had been on my list for months, the C65 Super Compressor in Deep Blue on a Black Tropic strap. And just like that, my reluctance to buy another watch right now vanished & I couldn't get to my credit card quick enough. That color & strap for that watch is exactly what I had been waiting for in hopes that I might find it at a discount. So, I owe that Forum member an apology. Haven't told the wife yet.

Snap, I wonder if we've bought and paid for the same single watch....

Somebody please persuade me I don't need the C60 Abyss GMT on the clearance page. I can't buy *another* CWL this month!

You don't need the C60 Abyss GMT on the clearance page. Always happy to help.** :D

** I suspect my help is futile, however. A plea like yours is normally a fair indication that you have mentally bought it anyway. 8)

You don't need another CW but the photos of the Abyss cannot capture how great that watch looks in real life! Hope this helps?

The only ones left are V1 models, while the V2 use the newer Sellita SW330-2 with improved GMT hand setting as well as a power reserve increase to 56 hours.

Looked at in one way, that could be something of an oxymoron.

Although to be fair it is NN.

You know, I have stupidly high expectations for the condition of watches. They should be flawless when new. I have sold hundreds of watches and expect my buyers to have the same discerning expectations that I have and disclose anything that I can possibly find to disclose. Surpassing expectations is very important to me as a seller.

That said, I have now received who knows how many NN watches from CW. I’m guessing at least 6-7. Of these watches, they have all appeared to my discerning eye to be perfect. The condition and the performance have honestly been better than what comes out of a lot of other watch houses. I don’t have a second thought buying NN from CW, and I cannot imagine how anyone else should either. I know from the experience of my buyers telling me my watches are better than stated, what the average buyer expects. I’m confident others will agree with me that NN is a great opportunity and not to give it a second thought.

Wanted to get that off my chest. lol

^^^ I completely agree with you. I’ve had NN watches from CW that appeared completely flawless.

I might not have made my post particularly clear. The fact that it was NN means that there was only one in the sale; in other words they were not trying to sell off a number of watches left over from an unpopular line. Had that been the case, then the comment could have been interpreted as an oxymoron.

Apologies for not making that clear, and absolutely no criticism of NN watches intended.

^^^ The Deep Blue one that was added at the same time didn't last long either, maybe a couple of hours.

Random thought - why would anyone buy and return a Titanium bracelet? Can't think of any other reason it went to the bottom of the page and it's bothering me

. . .because when they got it, they realised it would ONLY fit a C63 Sealander Elite; that they didn't own.

If you have the watch and no bracelet, then a bracelet at Nearly New, 30% discount, price level is a no brainer.

As someone who put the wrong size C9 bracelet in my cart two sales in a row years back I should have thought of this option. Never actually got my hands on one but it would have been useless and gone straight back! Thanks for putting my mind at rest
