But...(I think), it's too big at 43mm. (Does it wear 'big? Can anyone advise? P.S. My wrist is 18cm). I think I could get away with it.
But...(I think), it's too busy - (minute markers on the dial AND bezel...not necessary. Plus, I'm not in the military.
But... I love it. A chronometer for c.£1000? A chronometer, and it's blue. C'mon, how can I resist?
As mentioned above it is 41mm, although because of the bezel overlap it wears larger than my 41mm super compressor, even though both have the same lug-to-lug.

I have 16.5cm wrist and I specifically bought it on the strap as it will wear too large for me on a bracelet.

It is at the limit of size for me with my 16.5cm wrist. With an 18cm wrist it will be perfect.

Are regular models discounted as well during the January sales? The simple, black, C60 Trident Mk3 caught my eye and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for the sale or if they don't discount the regular models.

Also as a side note, do you think there's any chance of them releasing a C60 Trident Mk4 in 2022? I'd hate to buy the Mk3 now only for them to come out with a new version later in the year.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

I’d suggest the regular C60 will more than likely appear, however you will need to be quick. Why would you hate to buy the MK3 only for a newer model to come out? For a start you might not like the new model if/when it’s released. If you go by that rule you’ll never buy anything in case a newer model comes out. If you like it and can afford it then buy it, simples. I still prefer the MK1 and 2 to the MK3. There are a lot of people that prefer older model seamasters etc… to the newer models. Newer isn’t always better - buy what you like.

Thank you! My thinking was that the newer models like the C63 have the text centered up top and I kinda like that more, so if that's the direction they're going then maybe the C60 would get a "face lift" with that new design choice, I'd like it even more. But that probably won't happen too soon, I was looking at the release dates and the Mk2 was 2014 and Mk3 was 2019, so a Mk4 in 2022 seems a bit soon so it's pretty unlikely.

But you're right, I still like the Mk3 regardless of what happens so I'll wait a bit to see if there's any January sale in 2022 and maybe I'll be quick enough to snag one at a discount. If not, I'll probably have to think about it some more because the 39mm C63 GMT in black is also really nice and not much more expensive :)

The usual solution around here for this problem is to buy both!

Second this, buy both to see which you like best, realise you like both, have an awkward conversation with your significant other on the benefits of two watches over one watch!

If a deep blue super compressor turns up as a NN discount, let me know

The discount codes haven't quite tempted me yet, but nearer the lower end of £600 as NN might...

Hi there!
New here and hoping to snag my first CW in this sale. Will there be a special section on the website for sale items and the nearly new stock? Also, will being on the official newsletter subscription list get me alerted when the sale goes live?
TIA!!

Yes; there is usually a special page on CW's website for the Clearance and Nearly New items.

Yes; being on the newsletter subscription will get you alerted with a Preview of the Sale BUT . .
.
. . .its worth keeping an eye out here on the forum for information.

I wish the January sale wasn’t in January. It would be a lot easier for me to give CW my money if it wasn’t coming on the heels of the Christmas season and all the associated bills.
I agree that early January is a tough time to buy a new watch. However, I may risk my wife's wrath if older quartz models or a C65 shows up.

What I hope to see:

Some insane one off MK2 C60 I didn’t even know existed like Richard’s “Wasp” MK2 C60 which is one of the coolest watches I have ever seen or maybe a C1 Jump Hour. I’m pretty well set with the collection but I can’t walk away from a screaming deal (most of the time).

Does anyone know what the US tariff threshold is set at? I ordered a green GMT Sealander using the $125 discount code & was required to pay it before gaining its release from customs. If I like a watch on the sale enough, I will still buy it. That customs duty does figure into how good a deal that I would be getting.

Anything over 800$ will require duty fees to be paid in the US. The amount taxed depends on the cost of the case, movement, and I think the strap/bracelet, with each part having their own tax percentage. Typically it'll be around 10-15% of the total cost but YMMV
