Looking at post history it's an Abyss?
There's still a number of the abyss watches on sale. I was looking at them actually. You could pay off over a year interest free for around £50 to £60 a month, which is comfortable. It's the stealth that gets me, The only similar watch I have is just really hard to read other then in bright light, Virtually impossible at night, and I don't think the abyss models look much different, so I am just not sure. What's black lume out of interest?

The lume that fills the hands/indices/bezel markings looks black in the daylight. That’s why they call it black lume. It glows a muted blue in the dark.

Mine was delivered this morning just after 11.

Such a pity no one picked up my cancellation email.

There isn't one at present Om.

There'll likely be one around the end of the month, coinciding with the next edition of Loupe.

SKU number doesn’t have NN anywhere, so don’t think it was a Nearly New. If I’m right in thinking that. I seem to remember other NNs having it in SKU.

I’m sure someone will confirm/correct for me.

The ones still available (no bracelet, GMT...) are N60... SKUs so you have a shiny new one. That always scares me - the second scratch or ding is never as painful as the first :silent:

Strange, why be afraid of a shiny new one.

I’d always prefer that to a NN one, as it’s a lottery to what you get. Either NN with no marks or one with slight ones.

Luckily all my NNs have been pristine. I’m assuming this too is pristine as it’s at bottom of stairs unopened.

It’s different if buying second hand, but scared- weird.

However, each to their own.

I think it comes from my poor(ish) upbringing - nice things are to be looked after and a perfect anything should remain so, especially if it cost lots (£500 is still lots to me) and I know from experience I can't do that with a watch. If it's a pristine looking NN I can pretend to myself that the first mark was already there and not feel as bad.

Ironically the only watch I've ever bought brand new is my beater!

I'm still tempted to take it off your hands, I'm sure the straps will be too long (the only experience I have of CW straps are the rubber on my C60 which is on the last hole and will be replaced and the croc effect bader on my C9 which was replaced before wearing) and I no longer work near DPD so buying direct means a 30 mile drive, the return at rush hour.

I’ve heard CW is rather brutal on honoring the return period with any signs of wear at all. Maybe it’s been awhile, but I recall some saying they sent it back untouched and still had trouble getting refunded because CW claimed it was not in new condition. Again, maybe times have changed. I don’t want to wrongfully convict them if they’ve stepped up and revised their strategy better in favor of customers.

Mine is still sealed, so no problems.

Photos will be taken before return.

Return partly my fault for over excitement but also CWs for taking too long to read my emails. First one sent more than 5 hours before despatch email received.

Seriously @Jafo, I’ve never had an issue with my standard Abyss’ legibility. Only when it’s very dark would legibility be an issue, but it would with many watches

Those all seem to be showing up in the sale but are not discounted. :?
Good point, maybe they're not supposed to be there or maybe they're supposed to be discounted - hard to know when it comes to CW's website
I looked at the C60 Chronograph on bracelet, out of interest, and it's actually showing as pre-order. The others are showing as in stock.
What a week to choose to stay off the forum (and not look too much at my email inbox!).
I'd love a C60 Elite or C60 Chrono. Just happened to have a look and saw them listed. The Chrono is in the sale at £1375. Back in September I have a note that it was £1800. So that's almost 25% off unless my previous pricing was wrong.

I've not made a note of the cost of the C60 Elite outside the sale, but the site is showing something odd. The blue/orange on a hybrid is only shown at £995. Switch it to titanium bracelet and it's £1225. Switch to black/red watch and then put that on the black/red hybrid strap and it's back at £995 again (which is a watch that doesn't show on the sale page). Odd.
