Still no email from CW to me about the sale. I guess I’m not a VIP. I’ve only owned 15 watches from them but whatevs….

Wow that sucked. No email no nothing. So I guess that was the sale? It was a "friends & family" special, people who knew the link and knew when to refresh? Lol... I'm pretty bitter about it as you can tell 😄

I can only guess it’s another slip up. Kip has always given a heads-up that a sale was approaching and an email has (eventually) shown up……

I wonder if the sale was an actual mistake, given that the Forum usually get a heads up. And no advance emails were received.

If that is true, only my surmising, will any successful purchases go through?

I hope so, I bagged one. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I think the Sale or Sale Preview will be back, properly, at some point in the not too distant future. What everyone was looking at today, I think, was some pages on the CW website via the "backdoor", so to speak, while they were setting it up. That's my interpretation at any rate, I haven't heard anything officially.

Even though it was a less publicised sale without the email etc, it seemed to be back to the days before the website upgrade with lots of 'Null' items, watches showing as in stock for an hour after they must have been sold out etc.

Maybe someone did press the 'Sale' button a bit early and they weren't prepared?

That would make sense to me as when you did a view of all watches, not just those in the sale, none of the sale watches came up ..

It's going to be the end of an era when the last of these sells.

From what I can gather it's exactly that.

Someone on CWE found a sale watch by searching 'nearly' and that lead to more

I think 'null' has still featured since the upgrade. Seems to reflect sold items.

I'm with Welshlad- the URL wasn't a properly formed readable address and the sale wasn't intended to be live- just preparatory work which would be released with a new URL to point to it. Unfortunately for CW, their site search indexer found where the listings were being prepared.
