Is there such a thing as a gauging interest section??

Post by jayb1907 »

Looking at maybe trying to sell my cw trident 600 entirely brushed on here but noticed there is no section for seeing if anyone would be interested first. Is it just a case of putting it in the fs section and see what happens?? Cheers guys

Seems a bit of a pointless rigmarole to go through. As Greg says, put it out there. If someone likes it and your price is good you will sell it.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a "gauging interest" section on any watch site. As avo said, it seems kind of pointless.
the "g" is for Greg...

I gauge interest by looking on eBay for similar items and how well they're selling.

Gauging interest might be useful for an auction or sealed bid arrangement but on here so just put it up for sale at what you want, the only interest required is a pm from a buyer.

I'm missing the point of a 'gauging interest' section. I've never seen one on EBay, Autotrader, or any forum, do why have one here? Your best gauge of interest is to list it and see if it sells. If it does: interest. If it doesn't: no interest.

Yeah a few car forums I am/have been a member of have them. Maybe a little more along the lines of braking a car for spares maybe...or to see if anyone would be interested.
Not a problem, il get some pics together and put an ad in the for sale section.
Thanks to everyone for the replies.
