Is there some pattern behind the model number?

Post by supermariner »

I've been browsing the archives. I was curious to notice some vague patterns with the model numbers, for example C6x (C60/63/65) are mostly sports watches while C1 series are mostly dress watches. I wonder if there's more logic to it, or have things just grown organically?

There was a logic to it initially. Rather than chime in with incomplete information, I’ll let some respond more fully. There’s a thread somewhere that lays out the scheme behind the numbering early on.

Well, at the risk of everyone repeating themselves because the question was asked only very recently, I thought I would get in with the link.

Sometimes judicious use of the search facility will help you find the answer to the question you were thinking of asking.
