A true classic, John! Does it get much wrist time?
Collection is looking VERY good, though...some great pieces there!

Re: Is it time for a CW Watch?
I tried it on the day I opened the box and then put it straight back in the box. I then took it out for the collection shots. That is it. It is bound to be one of those pieces one discovers lurking in the draw. I may find a use for it- door stop, hammer, paper weight, cosh?Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:A true classic, John! I dont think the phrase "it seemed like a good idea at the time" quite covers it !!

I apologise for any damage my Storm watch may have caused your eyes. I should have issued a seperate disclaimer. In the meantime, feast your eyes on my 'occasional wear' Swatch.... hmmmm.....
Re: Is it time for a CW Watch?
Matey, unfortunately, yes! Well, only two more. Hence the reason I finally woke and and decided to buy a decent watch or two.
So to conclude, these are my last pieces. Firstly, a lovely Timex Ironman:
And for the true classic amongst the collection of dross - yes - its a limited edition Musicall Swatch with alarm tune composed by Jean-Michel Jarre. Purchased back in the early 90's. I thought this would be an investment as it was the first swatch to have an alarm function etc etc. All these years later, in its pristine unworn, boxed state it is worth a mamoth £60!
But who can put a price on style and class like this? Answers on a postcard addressed to The Lunatic, England. It should find me.

I also have one of these Swatches and love it strength and functionality. The backlighting is great.sibex wrote:I apologise for any damage my Storm watch may have caused your eyes. The shocker in my collection is probably the Zeon-Tech Solsuno but that said I've also got a Philippe Starck digital bangle watch thingy that's quite nasty as well.
Hopefully the collection will be lifted soon with the arrival of a Meistersinger Perigraph.

Yuck! I'm ready to give you the ugly watch award now. I would say... you are so ready for a CW!sibex wrote:This might be quite a fun topic.
Everyone has a dodgy watch in their drawer (or is it just me?). The watch that makes you say, "Its time I bought a CW"
I've got loads!
Looking at the watch I've attached a picture of here is what made me order a c20.
Its a beautiful Fossil Big Tic, with digital dancing men to represent the seconds. It is a 40mm masterpiece with luminous hands.
Shocking but believe me, its not the worst watch I have. More to follow.....

Actually, that's not a bad looking watch. Have a jeweler gut it and stick in a 2824.alphajet wrote:Remember the Lidl watches, this one is automatic and cost £14.99. Only wore it once, it was a how do they make them for that price moment.
