IPK Finish

Post by Kip »

Can anyone say how this finish holds up to daily wear? I am trying to decide which bracelet on my Kingfisher LE. I really like the IPK combo but will select the SS if there is any question to long term durability. I figure the best ones to ask are the Corax owners.

I like the IPK finish also, but it's not easy to repair when scratched.
A brushed or polished finish can easily be repaired.
I think that's a disadvantage of the IPK.

But i also like to hear from a Corax owner.

I just bought a Corax C4 on E Bay second hand and its about a year old.
It came with a leather strap on it which was well worn so the previous owner must have been using that for most of his ownership and the IPK bracelet is in first class condition so cant really say much about that. The watch itself is in very good conditon but the bezel is showing signs of wear on the very edges.I can see the grey steel grinning in a couple of places and a couple of minor very very small dings on the edge of the bezel to.I have to stress the rest of bezel is ok but the top edge will rub on shirt etc and looks like its wearing but not all the way round.Top edge is very sharp so no surprise it will wear there, but you really have to look to see it.Hope this helps.Oh,I forgot,It a great looking watch,i,m happy with it and saved myself £100.   8)

So the IPK isn't that tough as we want to believe.
Can you provide us with some pictures of the Corax?

Hi John,Sorry,I don't have a good enough camera with which to take pictures of a good enough quality to show you i,m afraid.Taking pictures not really my thing, have tried but basically they rubbish. :(
Its not really a fair test as i only got the watch yesterday and i don't know what sort of use it had,it was just my observation at the time of purchase and i have so many watches i swap between that i probably cant do a long term test.

I don't know how yours have stood up over an extended amountof time. I've had mine a good 6 months now (Corax C4) and the black is fine hasn't marked and the watch is worn daily.
