Incomings?
Incomings?
I seem to have ended up in a situation where I’m waiting for a number of incomings…a couple should be in the next couple of weeks. A couple are early 2025. I’d like to make myself feel more normal about this by finding out how many watches other people have on order right now…

Re: Incomings?
I was talking anything. If you want to let us know how many CWs that would make me feel even better…only one of mine I’m waiting for is CW

Re: Incomings?
Technically I've just got one on pre-order; an Elliot Brown special projects piece, fully paid for, with delivery due Summer '25.
Tentatively, I'm 'on the list' for two others, 1 x CW & 1 x other brand, with details / reservation etc. happening in the New Year.

Re: Incomings?
I have a 38mm C65 due next year, but nothing else from CW at the moment.
Two from Kevin Pedral from his Kickstarter campaign should arrive in a couple of months. (These are stock pics.) Watchmaker Hidaka Shinichi has an aventurine dial dress watch in the works for me, also expected in a few months.
And, although he doesn’t know it yet, I’m shortly planning to buy something from a watchmaker who recases pocket watch movements. Nothing specific yet but I find the idea appealing.

Re: Incomings?
For anyone who has spent more than a minute reading any of my posts about "owning too many watches" or "refining my collection" I humbly apologize for wasting your time, because they're clearly a pack of lies. I have five incomings...
1. Piccola & Jofrette PJ1 - ordered while in NYC, en route to my safehouse in the UK (ok, my mother-in-law's...) and I'll figure a way to get it to me from there.
2. Studio Underdog Watermelon - ordered while in NYC, now delivered to UK as part of the Gen3 batches. Need to pick it up at some point.
3. Studio Underdog Goofy Panda - ditto to Watermelon.
4. Helicon Master 62 in Claret - frankly 100% inspired by@Bahnstormer_vRS's version, I saw Guy's photos on the forum, really liked the look and couldn't resist the Black Friday offer. Should come direct to me and Jonathan over at Helicon has been very helpful with the various shipping issues. Thanks Guy for the advice on it too.
5. Pinion Reaxis Magenta - must be on a claret/magenta binge (or maybe I'm at burgundy o'clock...) because I loved the look of this too. Again, couldn't resist the Black Friday offer. Order placed about 5 minutes ago and already Piers has emailed confirmation and shipping details etc., so that's really top notch.
I also have four CW's in my basket, and am trying to work out whether to reduce/remove, space them out in purchasing or simply take the plunge in the vain hope that I will be "done" by the end of 2024 and never buy a watch again...
EDITED TO ADD: Clearly have too many incomings as I actually forgot one... M.A.D.1S which I was lucky in the raffle with back in September, should be delivered in January . And also to tag@Murphy20 who I accidentally omitted in my initial post and who was very helpful on the Pinion front as well.

Re: Incomings?
Absolutely none. The last watch I bought was the Twelve Ti about 18 months ago.

Re: Incomings?
Just one, an impulse - aren't they all? My today movements don't coincide with post delivery so I've pre-booked to collect from the local post office but if I see postie in the village on my way out...
Nothing at CW for service/repair at present, just remembered I've got one at Omega for service so I need to amend my response from one to two.

Re: Incomings?
None for me, my experience with the last FLE has stopped me from buying anymore watches that aren’t available at the time of purchase.
Therefore despite still buying and trading watches quite regularly, I rarely have one incoming as they only take a couple of days from purchase to delivery.

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.
Re: Incomings?
One of these has been my only recent purchase. None incoming (despite trying).

Re: Incomings?
Two Zelos and one Wise. This year I really wanted to order a twelve Ti in green, an orange Lumiere and early next year, a Moonphase and Bel Canto classic verde. Unfortunately, my CW quality and service experience has put me off the brand. The thought of having to have loads of stuff through their workshops for service in the years to come is not a good one. I'll keep and enjoy the ones I have, but the watch money will go to other manufacturers until the QA/CS is seen to improve.

Re: Incomings?
In the last three months I’ve taken a Zelos, Baltic, Farer, Hamilton, Vulcain, Bremont, Nomos, Marloe, and thought that was getting a bit much. In my defence I was reorganising the collection and selling a number too, but incoming outnumber outgoings! Still in reorg mode though so Bremont and Farer have rotated out pretty quickly (just not for me). Have my eye on a couple of watches but showing some restraint…
