I ordered a Trident 300m for my work colleague on the 26th and I got the dispatch email today.
So just 6 days from order to dispatch and of that only 4 working days.

Well it's been 20 days since ordering still don't have a Watch kind of losing my enthusiasm for it. Want to get a Seiko marine master I think if I order one off of Amazon from Japan I will get it a lot quicker than my Christopher Ward.

The counterpoint is if you do invest and then the sales don't match expectations you can get into even greater trouble financially with overstaffing. They probably have sufficient capacity for most regular periods, but sales on top of Christmas can be challenging for anyone.

It's a tough call what to do, but as an internet only company, they have to maximise the opportunity to hit delivery targets as much as possible. For regular buyers they will have built up a certain amount of goodwill who will forgive the odd glitch, for new customers you never get a second chance to make a good first impression so one mess up can result in the loss of a massive amount of repeat business.

I don't agree with some of their business choices (but it is their business after all) but despite that, for me they have honesty and integrity in what they are trying to do.
I whole heartedly agree. Well put.
My thoughts exactly, too.

And to add to memcdowe's comments, I completely understand their position. I too have sold/thrown away products due to failures in the ethical behaviour of the company that made them. The value add of the brand can turn into such a value subtract, that the product holds no (or negative) emotional value. A mechanical watch isn't just a tool for telling the time (or we'd all be wearing Casio quartzes) - therefore a sudden adjustment in perception of the brand value for the company that makes the watch may have a significant impact on the perception of watch value.

What's a real shame here to hear memcdowes unfortunate experience is that my own experience of CWL customer service has always been great, and sometimes, it transcends into absolutely superb. One example - I ordered a C60 ratchet bracelet, but the ratchet got stuck after a few days - so one phone call later and explaining I needed the bracelet for a holiday with diving leaving in two days, they simply sent me a replacement bracelet on next day delivery and asked me to return the other one after my holiday, no hurry. No hold on my credit card or anything, returns bag on the mat when i arrived home (bracelet came in very handy). THAT'S customer service.

So I would guess when people on here get poor customer service, it's just simply that they are swamped, not that they don't care. I'd always advise a call (or email Wera) and follow up if you need to.
Wera has been great trying to sort things out. I can tell she works hard and cares about good customer service. She seems like the only one though. If the rest of the company was ran a bit better, she wouldn't have to carry the burden of fixing everything.

My Trident that I ordered on the 16th has yet to arrive. I got the dispatch notice on the 26th. It didn't actually leave the facility until the 31st though. I'm trying very hard to be positive about the whole thing, as I'm sure I'll love the watch. I've never had such slow service and slow communication (Wera is the exception) as I have had with CWL. It's seriously petty baffling.

Hope the Trident lands this week!

I have ordered things from Japan with free shipping and the language barrier receive them within seven days had my email answered within a day not 6 to 7 days as with Christopher Ward. 21 days no watch !! And again payed $25 for shipping !!

For UK buyers I note the next day delivery option has returned if you buy before 1pm, although I see it's now £10 for the upgrade...

International Express is back as well and only £25 extra. I think it is well worth it to get it in 2-3 days as opposed to 2 weeks.

The C60 I ordered in the 50% sale is currently in no man's land in a New York USPS mail warehouse waiting for customs clearance for the last few days...

I ordered my first CW, a 43mm C9 5 day auto chronometer on leather on 1/8 during the initial 50% off sale with £12 international shipping. I couldn't pass up getting a unique in-house movement with 120 hour reserve and COSC chronometer certification in a Swiss Made watch for around $750. I received shipping notice on 1/17 and the watch was apparently held in US customs clearance for about a week, and was then tracked by USPS to be in the Chicago area on 1/27 and out for delivery on 1/28. After very closely inspecting the watch I was extremely pleased with the high quality of the its finishing, band quality, and its operation and decided it was well worth the wait. So much so that I didn't hesitate in ordering a second one in a different color combination on 1/30 which was then being offered with free shipping. I just received shipping notice for my second order earlier today 2/7 so hopefully I'll receive it in about the same time frame. Of course I would much prefer quicker delivery times but realize that with their 50% off sale they're handling many more orders than usual, and given the exceptional value being offered I'm more than willing to wait the required time. Believe me when I say that patience is not one of my strong points, but as they say "good things come to those who wait" and I find that applies to these fine quality watches especially when being offered at their truly exceptional sale prices.

As previously stated I like it so much I already ordered another one! It's my first CW and I'm very impressed with its quality and especially the exceptional value these watches offer particularly at their half off pricing. Finishing quality is excellent as well as that of the leather band and clasp. I'm on a continual search for high value Swiss Made watches and these C9s are way beyond anything else I can find anywhere near their sale price. I realize that the CW brand is a relative newcomer in the field and won't hold or appreciate in value the way some more established brands will, but I'd have to spend multiples of their price to get something close to their design, features, and quality in one of those brands. I'm a big guy at 6'4" and have a 7.75" wrist so the 43mm case size is a perfect fit for me. The case is on the tall side but looks very well proportioned in the 43mm size. I'm more used to ordering watches within the US and receiving them in a couple of days, but these C9s are well worth the wait at their sale prices! :D

Well I got some movement on my watch, so lm happy. But a little confused as it went from jfk to usps N.Y. Where I live to Connecticut??? Hopefully it will be back in N.Y. Soon and to my home. Looking forward to seeing how I like the C60 600 pro. If I do I'm ordering a C9. If not than I'm torn between the Seiko marine master auto or Oris aquis.

In times of sale, how long should patience prevail?

Just a quick update on my previous posts:

My C60 arrived today. While I certainly wish it would not have taken so long, I am extremely happy with the watch. Absolutely gorgeous. And for less than $500 delivered....a stellar value. Image

I have a delema here, I order Two C9 and when I received my package there was only one there. To top it off the one I got has 3 dust or lint inside that you can clearly see because the C9 I got was with a black face. Now my question is can they replace or clean this watch for free? And what can I do for the 2nd watch that I didn't received?
