I've got a new watch and it's INCREDIBLE

Yawn.....

The AMW Edition.

Are you still waiting for yours?

Confession time: I like this colourway. Much less the cheapo tacky leather strap.

That's some result for Andrew, although I don't really see a watermelon colour, so much as an attractive restrained terracotta.

I may have another look at the violet though, although I will struggle to get Capex approval from my wife.:D

@tikkathree
I'm sure this watch deserved a CW Cordovan. ;D

I thought the lighting was very low throughout but it raises the idea that if you don't like the stock dial & case colours, or the wait for them, you dream up your own colour choices and get on the phone.

Waiting for someone to pick up on the most significant part of the narrative…

Let’s just say I am pleased that I purchased the original Azzurro blue. :)

I’m happy for AM and his piece unique. Interesting to learn just how much of a scramble it’s been for CW to fulfill orders of the BC. And I’ll still admire from afar as, impressive and beautiful though the watch is, the BC is not one for me.

It does cause me to wonder about BC prototype variants in the bowels of Maidenhead. ;)

I know there's some consternation about Andrew receiving this, and the perception of being treated with special care, but as far as timelines go it sounds like he ordered this either before the new colors were announced or just immediately after, putting him right around the same order->delivery timeframe as a lot of folks here. He mentions it had been well over a year since ordering, so aside from the "want your own special one-off" aspect (which was an entirely different logistical proposal back then versus now) it doesn't sound like he's gotten any special treatment since and that CW handled this with an appropriate level of care.

That said, Andrew needs to improve his lighting setup now that he's stepped away from Watchfinder, because he's a stop and a half under, to the point where what he said was green looks absolutely beige.

It might be a while before they start showing up in the Clearance section

I think that's fair. Andrew painted a picture of ordering, waiting, almost forgetting about it (but really?) without counting the number of months involved.

I'm always interested by the challenges of low light photography but when you can't really see the dial colour accurately something needs turning up.

With the exposure for the brand provided by his original video, seems almost like he deserved his own piece. It's really a cool look IMO

I saw Andrew's Bel Canto at BWD. It was very nice.
Maybe he'll be helping CW with their marketing as that is the second part of his move away from watchfinder. Watch Marketing Consultancy.

Here's a quick phone pic of it alongside the Phoenix prototype.

The key dial side differences apart from dial colour are the black hands, beak and sound squiggle on the Phoenix. The Phoenix case-back is very different.
