I'm a second time C3 Malvern chrono owner

Post by tikkathree »

I had this watch back in 2014 and dumped it for its disgraceful quartzness.

I reckon this butter dial is still one of the classiest CW has ever made.

I'm the second owner of this example with box, manual, papers and spare links. When I volunteered to take it "dead battery" I'd forgotten about the tiny screws on the case back and the even tinier battery hold-down screw. Only 15 minutes of cursing and we're off and running.
I'm giving the bracelet some cape cod lerv so it's now going on the green alligator.

I'm a second time purchaser of this model, too. I gave my first one to my son for his 11th birthday. But I missed it, particularly as I saw my son start to inevitably beat it up through regular teenage activities. So, I bought myself another one when AVO put his on Sales Corner a few years ago. I love it - it's such a cohesive dial design.

Nothing to be ashamed of here. The C3 model evolved over the years, but complete with its "disgraceful quartzness", it remained in the CW lineup in various iterations for over 15 1/2 years.

Somebody out there liked it.

Nice addition @tikkathree  8)

I've had the C3 MK2, then a C3 MK1.
Bought my Dad a lovely C3 MK2 SWG and bought Louise a C3 MK2 Blue dial.
I've also recently bought Louise a C3 MK2 Charcoal dial.

Lovely watch indeed ;)

And...the Mk1 was better looking!

@Paul Drawmer I would say that is true of the C5 Malvern as well.
