How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Never once in the US...at least not by chance happening. I do have two friends that own them by my recommendation and see CW’s on their wrists quite frequently!

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Haven’t seen one as yet and I work in London.
A busy place
I like watch spotting but still no CW wearer as yet.
Although as I’m new to the brand would find it harder to spot one rather than an easy to spot Rolex,PP, IWC etc. But I’ll spot one, I’m determined.
I’m sure there’s one or two out there and if I do spot one would probably strike up a conversation with them, depending on the situation of course.

Finally saw one here in the US, at the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh. One of the men involved in the production of the Spitfire documentary was wearing what looked to be a C8. I asked if he had gotten it from Chris himself, and he was surprised to find another person who knew about CW.

C65 Trident Classic, gold / black face on gold bracelet on the train into London from Oakleigh Park this evening.
Polished bezel / brushed case and polished centre links on the bracelet. Not a variant I’d ever seen before and not my personal al aesthetic preference but a nice watch nonetheless!
Still only the second or third CW I’ve seen in
Typically, I wasn’t wearing my own C65 LE (still my usual daily go-to) as I was going into work for a night shift so had opted for my old titanium Traser instead.
Still only the second or third truly wild CW that I’ve seen over the last ten years or so!

Never! I’ve seen rare seiko divers, a whole host of Breitling, omega, Rolex, IWC, Daytonas, speedys etc etc but never a CW

on the train home chap next to me had a Big Day Date. Think he spotted me looking at it and then saw I had a trident. An awkward acknowledgement and a knowing tap on the wrist.

May be a spotting bonanza this weekend around the Waterloo area of Old London Town. RN Submariners Remembrance weekend, so there should be a few C60 Trident Pros and 300s about.

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
I used to have a colleague at work who had the C60 Trident MKI GMT Orange bezel.
An old customer of mine had a C2 Lido.
After watching a cricket match at Edgbaston this year, I had a beer with a couple of guys I met there and noticed one of them wearing a C60 Trident MkI. He was surprised I knew what he was wearing.
On the tube a couple of months back I saw a gent wearing a C60 Trident MKII 38mm.
So maybe not all strangers, but I’ve seen a few out in the wild.

I had a visit to the doctors today and my doctor was sporting an old skool CW. I was surprised but probably shouldn't be since they're so local to us.

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Well, never say never! It’s extremely rare here but I was the one spotted today. I had gone into the jewellers where my safety deposit box is kept, wanting to swap over a couple of watches. While waiting for my box I was looking at the vintage watches and another chap was standing next to me doing similar.
“I see you are wearing a Christopher Ward,” quoth he.
I was wearing my C60 Trident GMT. He was sporting a blue C65 diver exactly the same as mine, but on a rather nice aftermarket leather strap.
The weird thing was that I had been wearing my blue Trident diver for a week and had just swapped over this morning! We had a nice chat, he hadn’t heard about the forum so I told him to check it out.
